Ok some interesting thoughts. The horn of a unicorn is nothing more than a growth like your finger nail. The horn would have to be ripped completely out of the skull for it not to function or grow. Just cause its broke does not mean they are unable to do magic. The MLP Movie shows this with Tempest. She learned to use magic again and can do what looks like fireworks. This was her initial talent in a way. So if any unicorn looses part of the horn they will have a hard time doing magic but the magic isn't generated from the horn. The horn is whats is used most of the time but think about it. If you try to write with the opposite hand it would take time before you can write well enough to read it. Unless of course you are one of those rare few that can already do it. This is why usually they do not do magic right away. It takes a while to learn how to wield magic after part of you is damaged. So I think that even if a unicorn looses their horn to a fight or damage they can still do magic but it will be very limited but only limited by the individual.

I have tried to L.D. but for some reason when I do realize I wake up. I have been practicing OBE but still have not gotten to the sleep paralysis stage where I am conscious. I usually fall asleep before it happens. I can fall asleep easily and thats one of the reasons I believe I have not bee successful. Some day as I would love to dream about my horse where we go for walks etc...

I do not get depressed. However I do have a good friend who does. It can get really bad at times. I do my best to help. Its the hardest thing to do. Like... How do you tell someone who cannot feel anything that life is worth going on? I mean really they can't feel love, hate, or any other thing. I do know he likes animals and they do give him comfort. A dog or cat does just as good as a pony. I prefer pony but thats me. My horse will become a therapy horse when she retires from shows. I think she will do well as she loves to socialize. Most who are depressed have conditions and imbalances that causes most of the depression cases. I am not doc but I can help only by being there and listening. I hope those of you who do get depressed will understand that its a problem and solving it will make you better. The harder you try the stronger you get. Never give up on life. We have only one and we must make the best of it.

Ok. I don't care which 10 as long as they are mares. (Real life ponies the studs like to bite.) Also there is a profession called Equine Massage and the horses love it. One of my friends dated a girl that was one and as soon as she stepped out of the car door the horse came in to greet her. So if you are opening a shop to pet ponies and you have no experience it might fail after they realize you are just doing it to pet them. I have been to massage parlors and I can tell if the person is good or just there more for show. You also have to have strong hands. Ever try to pet all day long? Try it for 4 hours and let me know how your fingers are doing? I mean scratching and petting and massage. Not just pet.

Hasbro doesn't post any 3d ponies for you to print on a 3d printer. So if your waiting for that then you may be disappointed.

Ok subtopic is of little interest. The magic is not split into 2 different parts. Its the same Even discord's magic is the same. There is nothing special there. Its the objective of the person wielding it. The visuals we see in the show are for our benefit. We see a dark power and we know it must mean evil or bad. So the magic that one holds is the same as another. The differences are Experience, Endurance and physical attributes of the wielder. So I do not believe that one is more powerful than the other or anything like that. Just my 2 Cents worth.

What if they are captured and are imprisoned somewhere else outside of Equestria? Somewhere that no pony can go to rescue them. Perhaps at some point if the show wanted to could do an episode based on it. After all Twilight brought back Starswirl.

Ok time to chime in. Lets look at some show facts. 1. The main 6 are close to the same age. We see this in the episode that shows them getting cutie marks. Rainbow dash's sonic rainboom was a result. 2. The main 6 may have been born with the elements representation during some magical event. (We only know they represent the elements based on the strong personality they posses that matches the element. This is probably why they can wield the power. 3. As stated above Magic is everywhere. Its what makes the land work and function. Its a flowing energy field that binds the world. This is why the evil villains are after it. Magic is the energy that is used by all creatures. Even the dragons. Just not as strong or noticeable. By the way the gems may give the dragons the ability to breath fire in this world. In order to channel energy you need a place to pool it to build it up. Compare the horns of Twilight and Celestia. Celestia's horn is 3 times as long. This is mainly to show age however she can pool a great deal of magical energy. Celestia used the elements without the help of others. When Twilight took on the magic of all 3 alacorns it wasn't the actual energy but rather the power to wield it. Sorta like getting the talent rather than a large amount of energy. Twilight did have trouble at first but used the combined ability to battle more effectively than one alacorn can. The cutie mark is not connected directly to their power as they have it without one. Flurry heart could wield more magic than Twilight and Flurry was not even breaking a sweat. When Starlight Glimmer took the cutie marks away it was not just the cutie marks she took. It was their ability to control and wield magic. She can also switch the marks which is the natural tallent and not the main power. Celestia raised the sun and moon in Luna's absence. Also there is an episode with Maud Pie where she tells Starlight that there are gems that can make her so powerful she could take over the entire land. This implies that gems can be used to provide magical conduits. This is the reason the alacorn amulet allows Trixie to become more powerful. So in order for a unicorn to become more powerful, I would say experience, endurance, capacity and emotional state would all be factors. A greater capacity could result in more magical energy being released but would not be good with one that is more experienced and had much more endurance. Being able to shoot a large magical burst means you have to be a perfect shot as you waited to recharge. Where as one that has endurance and experience they can fire multiple shots to wear down the opponent rather than shoot it all at once. Ok so this is the general magic that all ponies possess. What about the most powerful magic? Its not even the same as what I just talked about. Its the power of the mind when bonding with another and the show calls it friendship. The love power if you will. This is what powers the elements up and makes the main 6 virtually unstoppable. Discord uses the same type of magic and he is quite powerful. Yet he is not as powerful as the elements when wielded by the main 6. Other than those that created the elements I do not think that there are any other ponies that are as powerful. Also Flurry Heart has a huge amount of power she is still a baby. I think that she might become a very powerful alacorn. Even more powerful than Twilight or Celestia. Someone mentioned the school for gifted unicorns. I think it was meant for gifted as in IQ not raw power. Despite the raw power twilight had. Twilight became Celestia's pupil because of her raw power and her IQ combination. I do not think Celestia would have given much attention if it was just IQ. Sunbirst did attend the school cause of his IQ. He could easily understand spells but lacked the ability to do the more difficult ones. Levitation and a few others but not like others. Starlight didn't but you do not have to study under a teacher to learn. I am not certain aobout the dragon egg entrance exam. I think it was a placement test. Sort like where do you fit. There wasn't much said about it and I would guess that because Twilight made it hatch that the prize was her keeping the dragon and becoming Celestia's favorite.

You cannot create what nature will not allow. Horses do not have what humans have as far as the brain and other attributes. The only way you could have such a thing is if the matrix type computer that could be used to allow this in a completely VR digital world. Then people could be plugged in and lead to believe they are a pony instead of a human and actually live as they do in the show.

The Ursa minor was the bear that broke her horn. Ursa Minor's are very powerful and most ponies cannot fight them. Twilight just put it to sleep and sent it back but she could not match its magic. The magic isn't just the horn either as she demonstrated the ability to do magic still. I think she was princess quality material. Had she had it good and didn't looser her horn she would have probably become as powerful or more so than twilight. The loss of the horn did not turn her evil. She wasn't really evil but rather desperate to get her horn back. Had she known she was being used I think she would have not helped the evil bad guy in the end. Ultimately she sacrificed herself to protect Twilight. Vanity was her curse. She desperately wanted to have friends and fit in but was shunned because of her disability and broken horn. (Very similar to a soldier loosing a limb and people treating him differently as a result). Twilight showed her that her horn isn't what makes her but her personality and willingness to make and be friends. The premise of the show is all about friendship and how powerful it is. Its more powerful than any magic.
