Red Dead Redemption 2 - Finding the new horse

Arthur went to the Blackwater Stable once again to buy a new horse since his horse just jumped off the cliff 1 hours earlier. As he was looking at the horses in their stables, one caught his attention.

“What in the  happened to this horse?” he muttered to himself as he stared at the horse with blue coat, mane and tail. It seemed a little agitated as it trot around its stall, neighing loudly unlike the other ones who are a bit silent.

“Interested of my recent catch?” Arthur turned to see a man, probably the owner of the stable.

“Hi, old man” he greeted “It's been long since we've met. I think some kid came by and spilled some paint all over this horse”

“Oh, her?” the old man approached the blue horse, who is revealed to be a mare “I found her like this when I found her in the wild. She was very determined to get the rope from her neck, but I managed to get her nonetheless” he explained as he pet the mare's mane, to which the mare whinnied.

“All wild horses are difficult to catch if they don't know you” Arthur told him.

“Real shame nobody want this poor mare” the old man looked at the mare “Everyone who came in told me i have to remove the blue coat. The folks don't want to look like a kid ridin' a horse. Are ya' interested?” he opened the mare's stall when he said this. 

“I-I don't know, i-” Arthur glanced at the mare. He don't want to know how will thhe Van der Linde gang will react to him riding a blue horse. Dutch might probably even insult him, or John teasing him. He was about to answer to the old man when the mare approached him, her eyes meeting him. She sniffed at his face before snorting, and hugging him. He felt bad for the mare, he hugged back.

“Aww, look at you, you're hugging the horse” the old man playfully teased him.

Arthur let go of the mare, and turned to the man “How much does she-”

“Oh no, you can get her for free!” the old man interrupted him. Arthur stared at him for a while, trying to process what he said. He then thanked the old man

“Thank you” he said. He got a harness, and a saddle from the air (cause that's what happens in the game) and put it on the blue mare, who responded by neighing at him with her ears flattened. He guessed she was angry but he knew she'll get used to it. He mounted her and to his surprise, she didn't try to buck him out of her back. He exited the stall.

The old man, now alone looked at the horses before muttering to himself “Finally, with that horse gone, those kids will not bother entering my stable without my permission” he chuckled to himself before turning to one of the horses, a friesian mare “Am I right, Darkness?” he turn and was about to leave when he heard a voice behind him.

“Um, my name Furvus, not Darkness”

The old man gasped and glanced at the black mare “Did you just talked?” the friesian mare answered with a snort “Oh, I think i think I'm starting to hear things”

I did tell everyone Windy Breeze's family died even before she could see them, including her parents. So basically she's an orphan but that never popped out of my mind.
