  1. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. I still have my YT playlists but yeah, YT is hardly the go to it used to be.
  2. At the time some of the leaks suggested that G5 was going to be a G4 2.0, with the same characters and everything only minor cosmetic changes like Pinkie being the Pegasus instead of Fluttershy. Hence me looking for ways that could potentially blend the two without treating the past decade like a joke. Obviously what we got isn't exactly prime-time golden globe material but it had some decent moments. But truthfully I feel the same way about G4, it was good and I am glad that I was able to go on the ride, but it wasn't a perfect show either.
  3. I have mixed feelings about G5. Some good stuff and some that was rather meh. I think the biggest problems were when they tried too hard to connect G4 and G5, and putting the big movie before the show (a cart before the horse situation). Some ideas I had when G5 was still mostly speculation: -G4 was to G5 the way Ancient Greece and the rich mythos are to us. -a completely AU/AT -Sunny learns about The Queen the way most people learn about the President, in school but never actually meet her or if they do she's a much older wiser figure than she was in G4.
  4. About the only thing I immediately remember that made me actually cry was the memory sequence in the final song and book closure. Episodes that drove some feels are a bit more numerous and includes: Perfect Pear, Diamond Tiara's song, and others that I can't remember right now
  5. Him actually, as to pose...I'll leave it up to your creativity but I will suggest some activities that go along with his character. He enjoys baking, reading, or snuggling with a certain purple librarian
  6. Here's my main ponysona Cocoa Nibs. His cutie mark is a S'more. The top hat is optional. If you have any questions feel free to reach out otherwise have fun.
  7. I got a small pack of mlp themed cards to hand out to my coworkers and some small chocolates. V-Day isn't my favorite holiday by any means. but it's something to make people smile a bit so eh🤷‍♂️
  8. Welcome aboard, new friend Sleepy time tea eh? Good taste in herbal tea. I share your indecisiveness for colors if on a slightly narrower spectrum.
  9. I can't believe I haven't posted this already Here's a selection of some MLP art I made based on the holiday classic story A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens This is a project that I will continue to work on as the muse hits me. I also have some written material where I tried to capture a nice balance between the original novella and pony.
  10. The first four were drawn during Ponyville Ciderfest 2023. I drew Mistmane meditating which I got Elley Ray to sign and a few loose sketches for an idea about an MLP/Oliver Twist crossover. The next one is an attempt at meme-ology using Misty from G5 And finally, an anthro Fluttershy drawn from the Epic Wild West fanfic "BULLETPROOF HEART" by Paul Asaran (link: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/416114/bulletproof-heart)
  11. Haven't submitted anything in a while so I thought I'd rectify that with art drawn this year. In order of submission Two images from a fanfic idea I was working on based on the historical disaster of Pompeii circa AD 79. A couple of images from a state celebration event held at my mom's current place of work which is a history museum, to be precise the arts had to be related to the state somehow so I did a pony parody of a local radio station and an anthropomorphic bird based on aviatrix Amelia Earhart. A drawing inspired by a fanfiction called "The Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon" a story that takes place in a Steampunk Equestria, given the nature of Steampunk, I tried to capture the idea of the historical form of photography called daguerreotype/tin-type A drawing from Valentine's weekend I took my Twilight Sparkle Plushie to see the movie TITANIC at the local theater and drew up one of the movie scenes. And finally, An attempt at anthro-pony, based on a fanfiction called "BULLETPROOF HEART" an action-adventure set in a hot and dusty Wild West world. Rarity is lost in a vast desert and is somewhat begrudgingly rescued/aided by the very solitary Fluttershy who calls a magical oasis home.
  12. I only JUST discovered this amazing project today, and I would love to check out what you have available as of this time. From what little I've seen thus far, EXCELLENT work 8/8 or 6/6 (Pones don't use base 10 maths) P.S. If you ever need some help in some fashion I would be honored/thrilled/and other such words to lend my drawing skills or rookie/hobby VA talents to this project.
  13. I know this is an Uber late reply, but I just came across this article and LOVE the idea of Paradise Valley being some sort of ancient ruins in G4/G5 Equestria. Some of my favorite fanfics use similar ideas. Would love to hear more about this project provided it's not long gone like a lot of the big pony projects ended up being .
  14. @Flutterstep That was me. Glad you liked it. For the story, I figure that since canonically Fluttershy is an anime fan, she might have a more diverse playlist as well. And nothing is better than staying in on a cold wet day with a warm beverage, a good book (or manga in her case), and maybe some music.
  15. I'd be interested in lending a hoof if there's still time/room.
  16. Going back and reading up on this episode, I'm a little surprised that Starlight didn't ban horns or wings cuz "equality".
  17. I can't remember the source but I remember reading something that suggested that Twilight might have OCPD which is a "cousin" to OCD. OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder). The Mane difference is that OCD is often tied to anxiety or fears, OCPD is tied to a self-driving need for perfection. People with OCPD often strive to make everything in their environment perfect. There's some other differences but this is the quick and easy explanation.
  18. I do not have much in the way of actual training, but I do love learning about history, well to be more specific certain periods and subjects of history. I have also found quite a bit of enjoyment in people who write historical pony fiction.
  19. There's actually a clinical term for fear of cheese "turophobia". But I agree that the cheesy line was probably meant as a one-off joke. If Twilight does indeed dislike cheese lactose intolerance or a traumatic experience could indeed be culprits. I personally prefer the idea that she's not actually afraid of quesadillas or anything like that its more just a preference like IRL I don't like ketchup or spicy foods. In the former, I'll eat it if it's already part of the dish but won't actively seek it out for a condiment. In the latter, I can handle a little bit of spice but do my utmost to avoid eating very spicy things. Yet, due to the efforts of my family, my tolerance has been raised from what it used to be. Still, don't expect to see me popping jalapeño laden nachos or anything like that anytime soon.
  20. At least half of humanity would happily nuke/strip mine Equestria in a heartbeat. Now the canon Royal Guard couldn't guard a wet paper sack, as it would be unthinkable that the Mane Six/Twilight didn't get to miraculously save the day. They wouldn't stand a chance. The Wonderbolts might be able to last a few minutes longer, might and minutes being the keywords. I can't remember exactly where but I vaguely recall reading an article or seeing a video where the creator(s) rip into Hasbro/DHX for their portrayal of the military. We get it it's not a show that requires GI Joe or Michael Bay action, we're not the target audience, and at the end of the day, Twilight and friends are still the main characters. But would it have been too difficult to make the Guard/WB seem even remotely capable? Maybe it was funny the first time, but I think the only time we see the guard being more than shiny door-stops is in the Sombra alternate timeline episode. Even the Wonderbolts who get appreciatively more screentime throughout the series are treated as little more than sports jocks play-acting as military.
  21. @Will GuideThe story is yet incomplete, so I cannot tell you how they might use their powers (beyond farm chores like moving rain clouds and what not). And don't forget we still have NMM at some unspecified time in the future. Not to sound like a kill joy or that I don't enjoy discussing things like this but simply for future reference can we move non-project discussion to a PM or something? It makes things easier to keep track of.
  22. @Will Guide If you mean this fanfiction that I am dubbing: Twilight has been ruling Equestria for around a decade and upon the death of her mother, asks Princess Celestia about her own origins. Many years ago before the Hearth's Warming tale, the three tribes live together in a fragile co-existence. Two earth ponies decide they've had enough and pack up and move to a secluded clearing far from civilization. They enjoy a simple life, small garden, small house, and all is well. One oddly chilly summer night they are startled awake by a sound, looking out their window it is SNOWING in the summer, the stallion heads downstairs to check it out telling his wife to stay back, opening the door he sees a hooded and cloaked mare half-dead with cold carrying two bundles, the mare in the throes of desperation implores him to take the bundles, her children, daughters, and take care of them until she returns, refusing all arguments to the contrary and offers to warm herself at their hearth. She disappears into the night and The earth pony couple take in the two shivering waifs. Days, weeks, months pass and no sign of the mysterious mare, they informally adopt the two winged unicorn girls as their own, and they continue to live a simple life with all the joys and sorrows that it brings. But the peaceful existence was not to last.
  23. @TomDaBombMLPHey, if you want to give it a go, go for it. I do this sort of stuff for fun so it is my belief that for me to insist on "ONLY professionals" that would kill the joy of creating. I mean obviously I have to have some standards, but as far as I'm concerned, even if you've never picked up a mic before, everyone has to start somewhere and they should have fun doing it. This is of course not a guarantee that you will get a role, but you are more than welcome to try out.
