  1. Time for me to get off to bed, I'll speak to people on here tomorrow. Night all, and stay safe.

  2. I know that feeling, I don't know what to suggest, however finding something positive to try to distract your attention away from those intrusive thoughts would probably help. On an unrelated note I am thinking of sharing images of what me and a friend did recently on my Minecraft server.
  3. I'm hoping a friend is getting a good night sleep, I cannot be with him right now because I have to get up early tomorrow for therapy however after a Discord chat I believe he was on my Minecraft server for a few minutes before I began doing the backup. Minecraft 1.21.6 is enjoyable, Ghasts are now ride-able in the Overworld and are not the angry, scary types you commonly find in the Nether. We can actually keep them as pets which is cool.
  4. If you're not allergic to nuts, try peanuts or cashews, they're filling and high in protein, if you like nuts then I would say that's a good way to satiate hunger, but you need a varied diet which is why fruit and vegetables should be eaten regularly.
  5. Just waiting for a backup of my Minecraft server to finish downloading which will only take a few minutes then I'm heading off to bed. I used to use Filezilla, but using Shockbyte directly is much faster.
  6. Eustace Bagge gets chased by Angry Mob in Courage the Cowardly Dog, funny scene of him getting his just desserts for his cruelty.
  7. I don't know how business works with Night Sky but I can say ignoring health risks is a definite negative and not a good look for any company people work for. And losing your job can make all the problems much worse, as if you don't get welfare or have enough savings in the bank account then you're most likely to end up homeless if nobody else can shelter you. I'm fortunate enough to not have that problem, as while I'm disabled and do not work a job, I do live off safety let programs and with some help from family. Tomorrow I've got another therapy session coming up, this is going to be a regular thing it seems since over a week ago, I self harmed, twice. Diazepam is helping to treat my sleeping disorders, I'm not being kept up all night anymore, but I've still got mental health problems that are probably going to take months to treat, if not years, and the only thing that is keeping me going is compassion from others, it's the same with everyone else, for one reason or another, living in isolation is never helpful for survival.
  8. I did say I understand the dislike of insect bites, nobody likes getting bitten, I'm just saying there are solutions, a screen door is designed to prevent mosquitoes from entering the home. The only way to get bitten then is if you exit the home, holes which bypass that protection or already have mosquitoes hiding inside the house, they may enter through air ducts or things like that, but there isn't much that can be done about this. As a community we can give friendly advice to each other.
  9. I'm not getting into comparisons like that one, I'd rather not be censored for my opinions and I'm not talking about you. But this isn't the website for that type of discussion, I've already gone into detail that our world could improve a lot, but really most people are aware of that much here on this forum, so there isn't anything which can be gained from this, and after having gone through therapy last week and been prescribed medication for my insomnia the last thing I or anybody else needs right now is more drama. That said, science is our single greatest weapon against diseases, and we do have vaccines against malaria, plus anti malarial drugs which come in the form of prescription medication. Malaria is still a problem, but not as much as it used to be when vaccines were not available to the public. Yes you cannot avoid being bitten completely, but you reduce the chances by using an effective repellent, screen doors also help against this problem. There are solutions to mosquito bites already which can make our lives easier.
  10. Mosquitoes are also living creatures who are doing what they need to survive, not their fault evolution made their survival mechanism feed off what keeps us alive. I understand the frustration, but there are such a thing called insect repellents. I disagree with wishing death on them, I understand that thought process from @Iforgotmybrain I just think it is not fair. I doubt the fictional character Fluttershy would say something like that either.
  11. Hakuna Matata is something I've had to go by, because the world has chaos, and what is out of our control, is not worth getting upset about, as difficult as it can be to accept sometimes. You may feel regrets, but worrying endlessly about what cannot be changed is never going to help, trust me when I say this.
  12. I'm waiting for my medication to take affect before I head off to bed, in the meantime, I enjoy the lovely responses people are giving each other here.
  13. I would request a board of officials at the company to discuss what would be the best way to do it, because there are no know it alls in the world. The success of the water park is determined by things like how safe the rides are, security and what attracts customers the most. Of course you could probably request the use of copyrighted characters from IP owners to increase the attractiveness of the water park but minimizing risk to people there is the priority in my opinion. Poorly maintained water slides or people who disrespect the rules of the theme park can have lethal results.
  14. Purchased this figurine of Princess Luna, the other one I got off Ebay the human version of her doesn't even stand upright properly. So I went and got this from Amazon instead. Luna is best Princess, always and forever
  15. Just signed out of my Minecraft server after a chat with a friend, it's late here so I should get some sleep, and I've taken my medication again.
  16. Luna is called Best Princess for a reason.
  17. I'm hoping Media Monkey gets a version that becomes compatible with Linux natively, I tried using Wine to get it working but it did not help, I have a lifetime license on there, so a newer version of it should work on my Ubuntu PC in theory. I think that's one of the best media players out there though, it is compatible with all the modern formats, including HEVC for videos and DSD for music. It supports bit perfect playback if you're into that sort of thing. Accuraterip is another feature the app has, so you don't need Exact Audio Copy anymore to verify CD rips. Damaged CD's can be repaired if the data layer is left intact, but I would advice people have it done professionally. I managed to get my Sonic Adventure game repaired that way, so I was able to recover the music WMA files, plenty of bangers on that one, including Mt Red A Symbol of Thrill.
  18. Linux is easy to use, probably not as much as Windows but that's a GUI issue more than anything, but Ubuntu I found is very stable. Uses far less memory than Windows 11 ever did while having almost the same capabilities. I'm doing file transfers from a Minecraft server and even with that, only 4.4gb of my total RAM is being used. Does Linux deserve its negative reputation on audio drivers? I don't know, but you get what you pay for, and given Linux isn't as popular and isn't a paywall type of OS, I can forgive the minor quirks here and there. But I would say it is darn impressive what has been achieved already. With Proton you can get almost any PC game working, not that any of it is needed for Minecraft Java, Minecraft Java works with Linux natively, but with Proton or Wine, some Windows apps do work, and sometimes perform better. I've been getting way more fps out of this in Linux than in Windows. One feature I do appreciate in Linux is the sudo command thing, as it locks down any change to the OS with an admin password, making it inherently more secure. I might still need a firewall, but my router has that already.
  19. With the compatibility setting in Steam there's a feature called Steam play, surprisingly most of my games seem to work on Linux. I managed to get Black Ops II and Sonic Adventure working on Ubuntu thanks to Valve's feature. There's a force wait issue which I managed to get rid of using a command in terminal, most of the other advice others were giving out on other forums were not helpful, they were saying things along the lines of disabling Steam overlay and GPU accelerated rendering in web views. But I found a useful article on Medium that tells people how to tweak Ubuntu to get rid of the short force quit or wait popup. After some patience I got it done, so now I'm happy with the result, as now the system is in a useful state.
  20. I liked what you shared publicly on that forum thread, though not from the same fiction, it's a fitting song for Discord. Discord is literally like The Joker of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, he likes to put on a show, even if it means his antics causing disruption to their universe. I didn't know you were a fan of Batman The Brave and the Bold however, yeah that show had its funny moments, and in that version, The Joker feels like his antics are pointless without Batman, that is why when he got Mxyzptlk's magic he never kept Batman dead. Discord probably feels similarly about Ponies in MLP, though Discord is not quite as dark as The Joker.

  21. I've said it before that love is a superpower, and the more of us that share it, the stronger we are. Something I learned here, kindness can only triumph if we stick around to encourage it, pessimism is the same thing as giving up, there is no strength in that.
  22. Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
  23. To be honest, I cannot really speak about this as I don't know enough about this or the fashion industry in general, so it would not be helpful for me to have an opinion which is better. The idea of looking good is not wrong though, I am aware that Equestria Girls is a fashion doll spin off, and some people may be put off by that. But I don't call fashion as inherently bad. It would be appropriate of me to say something along the lines of this, however, like with men, women should dress the way they feel, and not as others pressure them into. So there are merits to Equestria Girls I had not noticed before. The negative opinions I once held about Equestria Girls spin off, well, I've changed them, since I've had more time to think it through, being overly critical of it, kind of disrespects Rarity since fashion is her thing, if I am to respect who she is as a character even from MLP FIM, then I've got to make allowances for something like this to happen, plus it's Hasbro's IP, not my own. Not only this, but I feel hypocritical for some of my old criticisms of Equestria Girls since I began writing an MLP FIM fan fiction of some human souls becoming Ponies in their next life in Equestria if they consented and if ordained to by their spiritual guide, Princess Luna from an alternate reality. Why is it a negative if Mane Six were to transform into humans to visit the world humans inhabit? it's not inherently so. Not all humans are disruptive, and their ethos of friendship is magic can still persist even if they were to visit the world humans inhabit, and the fact that they would try to make our world a better place even if fictional as they are, is something that should be cherished, not shamed.
  24. I've just taken my meds again, the calming effect of diazepam has given me something to appreciate, as well as the general thoughtfulness of people here. I don't want negativity or unresolved issues resurfacing and causing people problems here. So I've got a strict schedule of taking my medications as I press on with any further therapy sessions I may need in future. You know, something I have to admit when I saw your posts on my MLPforums profile, welcoming me back, waiting for me to return on 12th of this month, it made me happy, instead of feeling isolated and ostracized from old arguments, I felt hope, and if you do this with everybody else who needs help with anything mental health related that makes me appreciate you that much more. I'm truly grateful for all the help you've given me.
  25. One thing I did not bring up with a therapist was the fan fiction I had started and hopefully someday I will have motivation and time to finish. Didn't seem like relevant information at the time, yes I had mentioned this forum to my psychiatrist, without names of people here, however I did not feel it was necessary to bring up the fanfic with them. Whether people consider me weird for doing it or not, is not the point. It's not a fantasy that can ever come true for anyone and I don't expect it to. It's not like I hallucinate about fictional characters or hear voices in my head about this. In the latter case if that were to happen, I'd be terrified. I'm counting my fortunes that for the time being, my brain is not that far gone, yet.
