I feel the same way about Xbox 360, some of the things the platform did right was indeed Minecraft. The world sizes were limited, but those were due to the hardware, as allowing unlimited world sizes would've taken up too much space on the hard disk. And Xbox 360 had good racing games like I mentioned before, I still have my Xbox 360 collection, even though I had moved onto more advanced platforms like the Nintendo Switch and PC, I still admit the areas Xbox did excel at, there's even an arcade racing game I played on it called Outrun 2 which is fun. When I play on my Nintendo Switch again I think I'll be playing Crash Bandicoot N Sane trilogy on it, though I do have Mario All Stars Collection on it, Super Mario 64 is a fun game to play too. So minus the childhood part, I was not a child at the time I got my first Xbox 360 console, I do agree it had brought entertainment to people in a good way. Even though it lost the format war to Sony because of bluray outperforming HD DVD, DVD was usually enough for video games at the time, in both cases though during that generation, Nintendo Wii outsold both PS3 and Xbox 360 so that was moot, in the end it wasn't graphics or high end features that won the console war, it was whether or not the games were good enough to play. -
Call of Duty World At War featured real life weapons too, Thomson also known as Tommy gun, the same gun used in some movies. In the Zombies mode of this game it had a good rate of fire and that is without double tap, but you could not equip the round drum, one of the downsides about Zombies mode in this game is the lack of weapon customization. Even the comedy movie The Mask featured this weapon.

So we have discussed how we felt about COD WaW, it was a multi platform game not just on the Xbox 360, I suppose for its time it was technically impressive, but looking at it in hindsight, it is clearly a very flawed game. The Xbox 360 had even exclusive games at the time that were not very good either like Halo 3. I wished I had the original Halo on OG Xbox. I think the only exclusive games I got for that platform back then were Halo 2 and Project Gotham Racing 2, I got PGR3 later, and that had great music, PGR may not be as well received as Forza but it did feature licensed high end vehicles like the McLaren F1 LM, my favourite one in that game. I still have my Xbox 360, a slim version, the older ones broke so I cannot use those ones. -
That's a nice picture. Would it be okay if I joined the chat too? Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's symbolism of balance in Equestria and the natural world in general is the best part about them in my opinion.

Absolutely, Bonzi charges and sniping from tree in COD WaW were some of the best parts in the game, in my opinion, because this is quite literally some of the tactics they did use, trees provide cover so they are ideal for that situation. It's not just trees they used, they used what was known as spider holes to ambush you from below, they would come out and charge at you and the ambush would work if you were not prepared for it, it caught me out before plenty of times in that game. Earlier in the game they also used darkness of the night itself for cover and waited for your arrival. So there were some parts of the game that did impress me and got me thinking about the various tactics that were used in war. It's just unfortunate that the game is dragged down by the technical issues I had mentioned earlier, because it did have potential to be better. -

I agree, the reason I brought that criticism of Call of Duty World At War up is because it is supposed to be a game about WWII. But it rarely does that right, AI had certain unfair advantages against the player, and unlimited ammo was one of them, which in my opinion, is lazy game design and not a good substitute for competent AI that is capable of chasing a player down when their guns run out. If game developers did not want too many situations where a player had more ammo than the AI did, make the AI aim better. If a player is simply too strategic for that to work, reward them for that skill, don't punish them for finding creative ways to evade detection, as long as they're not out of bounds or using glitches to achieve that. COD WaW campaign would have been far better if it actually simulated a real life war situation. -

Nice Silent Dusk, always a pleasure discussing things with you, and I'm glad you got a good laugh out of the game, getting a good laugh out of it does help ease the frustration. The only thing I really liked about COD WaW was Zombies mode, I never got into the other multiplayer element of the game, and I had beaten the campaign on lower difficulties on my Xbox 360 some years ago. I know a few friends who beaten it on veteran difficulty but there aren't many on my Xbox contacts who did, and I don't blame people for it, given the cheapness of the enemies in that mode. Cooking off grenades would have been a fine enough tactic to increase the difficulty, it's a well known soldier tactic though it is risk taking, but the grenade spam and unlimited ammo part is unforgivable, even if you try to play the long game sometimes those grenades they toss reach your hideout, it almost makes taking cover pointless, because it makes the battle more about trial and error than anything else. And back when my friends were playing the campaign on veteran difficulty, they did struggle, they may not admit it to everyone, but I do remember some instances where they did moan about having to restart a mission because of some deaths in the game, there's a lot of things that go on in private gamer chats that people would never admit to everyone, maybe it is fear of being judged, I don't know. Is it because of their lack of skill? not always, unfortunately due to the hyper competitiveness of gaming communities, people are so quick to assume they're bad at the game. But if it is possible for a game to be too easy, then surely the opposite is also true, and in the case of COD WaW, it would not be the first time something like this happened. -
My thoughts about Streets of Rage 4 which I put on my own profile just minutes ago. Streets of Rage 4 is by far the best beat em up video game I've played. It improved on Streets of Rage 2 in so many ways, the weapon system, combos, and even the boss fights. Food gets you points if your health is already full, encouraging more skillful play, and your special attacks don't automatically reduce health anymore, you can reclaim health back if you avoid being hit. In my opinion, special attacks sucked in Streets of Rage 2 because while they can get you out of sticky situations sometimes, they also put you more at risk, but sometimes you need to use a special attack as otherwise your enemy attacks can override your own, examples Abadede and R Bear, and they essentially functioned as cheat codes for AI to screw you over if you relied on specials too often. On top of this though I would say the survival mode was another thing that I liked about Streets of Rage 4. Can be played both with friends and in single player and both of those are fun. I said to a friend I hoped for a DLC for a time machine mode which never came, which allowed you to play as the new characters in the older stories, that would've been the icing on the cake on an almost perfect game. I've also gotten all achievements and S ranks already.

AI keep spamming grenades on that difficulty in that game as well, on top of having unlimited ammo, hardly a fair situation for a player who does have limited ammo and has to pick up weapons along the way in the campaign. I've had interactions with unpleasant individuals over the years who claim COD WaW on hardest difficulty was easy though, but if that was the case, how comes not many people have beaten it legitimately? from what I have seen, only a minority of the population have done. Gaming communities can be unpleasant to talk to in general because of that, and you cannot make one mistake around them without being called names. It's why I play single player games most of the time these days, to avoid problems like that online. -
If I make a thread about another topic I may discuss Princess Luna and her dreamwalking abilities in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. I've been curious about the deeper aspects of them, metaphysical and all. Being a fan of stories that involve fantasy and magic as I still am. I am aware some criticisms have arose from this aspect of her character but I consider some of them to be unfair, either way people don't have to agree on absolutely everything with each other, it's just how the world works. It would be more productive to ask what could be improved on her characterization though, without an absolute rule against using dream powers. From what I understand of MLP FIM, Princess Luna does not use her dream powers to torment others, she merely asks Ponies in their dreams to confront their inner demons so they can learn a healthier way of dealing with them. It would be more unethical, in my opinion, if Princess Luna had left those Ponies to be tormented by their recurring nightmares. There is a clear purpose to her powers and I understood what Hasbro were attempting to do with this plot.

I cannot speak for other people's experiences as their interactions with their healthcare practitioner is a private matter, however it is true that malpractice can happen, sometimes it's a misdiagnosis or a misunderstanding of the problem though, but it seems my psychiatrist had caught on to to the fact that my issues were linked to my insomnia, and so it wasn't just anything to do with what happened on this forum or negative news stories, it has been an ongoing problem for a while and my anxiety and depression became severe just recently because of it. Lack of sleep can affect brain chemistry. I'd love to talk about My Little Pony with all of you, including fan fictions or different fictions entirely from MLP which there is an off topic section to discuss that, I just need to word it better so it doesn't devolve into petty squabbles. If people have different opinions that's fine, friends I still talk to have different opinions than me. But I realize it serves no purpose in making it a political or religious dispute with anyone.

Diazepam is working for me it seems, I got a good night sleep last night and also I've been calmer than usual. Also with Ubuntu installed on my gaming PC, some of my games still work, and Streets of Rage 4 works too, good thing too, as Streets of Rage is one of my favourite beat em ups, I've even got the game on Nintendo Switch. Not for any anger related issue, far from it, it's a fun game anyone can enjoy with friends or in story mode. I'll do a playthrough of arcade mode tonight on my own in hard mode with Blaze, a character I most often play as. I know I probably should not be mentioning the medications I'm on as it's supposed to be a confidential type of thing, but then since it's my own medical issue and no one else's it's okay of me to discuss it out of my own volition. With my more emotionally stable state of mind, I think I can manage better interactions with all of you from now on, but I still got to go for more therapy sessions later.

What made you sad/ angry/ negative emotion today?
Dawnshine Wonder replied to twiia's topic in General Discussion
Nothing, I may mumble or whisper myself the occasional frustrations nowadays but nothing major or worth telling you about on the forum. Also I've taken the philosophy there is not any point in worrying too much about things that cannot be helped, some things are not worth getting angry about altogether as they're first world problems. -

Looking back on what I did, I'd say so yes, I've only recently turned over a new leaf and for the sake of helping to lift others spirits here as everyone has their own personal problems they don't like to talk about every day here, I would say both therapy and positive reinforcement from people on this website has helped me avoid pessimism, even to the point in me removing sources of stress from my life as much as possible. It is not because people are oblivious or do not care about others, people wish to have a good time here, and I have to respect that. So to that end, I will try my best to earn people's respect here, if I do something wrong or say something which puts somebody off, I welcome others to tell me about it so I can avoid saying that to them in future. -

What did you do with your day?
Dawnshine Wonder replied to Mare in the Moon's topic in General Discussion
Being taken around for different appointments, eventually got to a mental health unit for an assessment by a psychiatrist, and I've been prescribed diazepam for my sleeping disorders, no surprise there, also grateful for because that is the one medication I needed if I was ever going to have any hope of recovery. Got back home, installed Ubuntu on my gaming PC, now chilled out watching the rest of the movie I was watching last night, Oliver. -
If I improve my sense of humor here, as I was in the process of doing by joining my friend @Snoopy Fan's roleplay yesterday, perhaps people would like me more than they did before. Discuss light hearted topics and avoid the negative, dark or pessimistic stuff and I should fit right in here. I intend to make that my permanent persona here because this is for the best I think.
