  1. Thinking about emotions we're all prone to, and sometimes they can lead to unintended consequences. After my therapy I am thinking of continuing on with my MLP fan fiction, it's all the comfort I really have in this world, other than the few friends I talk to online and family at home. I mean do people think I enjoy being negative about things? no, who does this? it's stressful and it's a self perpetuating cycle. The reason I talk about my fanfic is imagining being in a world where there was not much to feel negative emotions about. I yearn for a peaceful life, like some other people do, friendship and compassion are two things I value highly, because without that, there is no hope of peace.

  3. The thing is they're not magicians, they cannot undo what harm has been done and honestly it is an unrealistic expectation of anyone. Whether or not I take the therapy, bad memories still linger. and I don't know if I will ever be able to earn trust of people here ever again after what my pessimism has done. If all I ever do is push people away, what is the point? I do try, but sometimes it feels like a losing battle. I will go to therapy in a couple of days, but I am unsure how it is going to go.
  4. I assumed it was an issue with my browser, but if it's happening with other users it's a server problem, it's a minor issue though. I tried fixing it by deleting temporary files, clearing image cache, nothing helped, definitely not an issue from my end. At least everyone who does have a profile picture, it is working for them just fine.
  5. Steam is a good app, I don't know if they support Paypal, I use a card for my account on there. Steam is a reliable place to get our games though, with Steam guard you can add a layer of protection if you're worried about tampering. Just don't use a phone number, I found out the hard way that phone numbers are a bad way to secure accounts as with a deactivated SIM, which is possible if you have not used your SIM in 90 days, you can lose your phone number, and if you fail to get it back, you're out of luck, no one will help you recover your lost account. Right now I am faced with the choice of forgoing compatibility with certain PC games when I move over to Linux on my gaming PC. We can blame Microsoft's monopoly on the software market for that one. Game developers will support which ever OS is most popular, but popular =/= good. Most people go with Windows for convenience mostly, but there is a noticeable decline in the quality of their recent operating systems that has made people like me want to get away from it.

I hope I can get Black Ops II working on Linux, because I play it with a friend from time to time. This unicorn sight some adults on this website would be familiar with if they ever played Zombies mode of this game. I deliberately made sure there were no zombies in the screenshot of the video I am showing here, taken just as the round was changing.

There are ways to get PC games working on Linux I am aware, I just have not figured them out yet as my gaming PC does not use any Linux OS, I need to choose one before I can settle on that decision. But after that fiasco with Gamebar with the screenshot attempt, I am officially done with Windows, it had its golden age, but now it is time to embrace the future. Support Linux community, and Microsoft will lose their monopoly. On my other system that does have Linux, I've had generally good experience with it, and screenshots are instantaneous as well, as they should be.

  7. I like this pink Unicorn sight on this weapon in Black Ops II, it's a sight on this gun I wanted to show people as it does look really nice. On an unrelated note, I told a friend I was going over to Linux on future PC builds. When I attempted to take a screenshot in Windows gamebar, for some stupid reason the magnifier app came up and caused me to go down as I was not able to turn it off in time. That incompetence in Windows operating systems is unacceptable. Why would anyone want the magnifier app when they are playing a video game in full screen? Microsoft have destroyed any chances of me upgrading to Windows 12 in future. Windows Gamebar would have been useful if it actually did what it was supposed to when commanded to by a user, but sometimes it does not, and sometimes it forces the game to self minimize as well which is another glitch I'm not fond of. Maybe advocating for an employee who coded this thing to be fired was harsh, but I was not happy at the time.
  8. Amazon is a useful place to get stuff from, you just got to be aware of the gotchas and other disadvantages of it to make an informed purchase decision on there. Generally speaking, good place to get music CD's from, and movie bluray discs. Physical copies I had mostly a good experience with them on and I can recommend them as long as you buy new or used like new. Eventually I will be getting a Bishoujo statue of Princess Luna from them, unfortunately will have to pay £200 for, which is far higher than the typical action figure set for My Little Pony. However as long as the statues don't bend on their stands, and are not damaged, it's worth it I suppose, being a Princess Luna fan why would I complain? a figurine of a fictional character I like sitting on my shelf collecting dust for who knows how many years, worth the one time purchase. I don't understand why the material at the base isn't metal though, call it a minor nitpick but I think a base made from stainless steel would've been more sturdy for an action figure like that. PVC is not a good material to make stands out of, as that was problem number one, it can still be bent or broken, but it takes more abuse for it to get to that point.
  9. I see what you mean, Amazon has its own share of problems people reported about like faulty or fake SD cards which Amazon staff don't even bother to check up on, but in some cases buying directly from company that makes them can be expensive, sometimes several times more, inflation does not help this either. Then there's the lousy quality control on other electronics which as customer reviews state, often fail before their warranty period is even expired. I've already had a headphone amplifier fail on me which I purchased from Amazon some time ago, the Sabaj a10d. So I am more cautious about electronics I buy from there, and there are better places to get headphone amps from.
  10. Amazon, though I regret purchasing that Princess Luna Bishoujo statue from Ebay, because the stand does not even hold the human version of her upright. I will be getting a replacement eventually, some things are worth full price for.
  11. Hoping nobody will take offence about what I wrote on the section of the forum asking people if they eat meat. I don't eat meat, but that's beside the point here. I also gave a well thought out topic about My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Real life horses are herbivores, and for some reason Ponies in MLP eat meat and use real leather. I think the show would have been more lighthearted without depicting Applejack's animal farming part. I'm not suggesting Equestria is a bad place to live, of course not, that claim would go against my fantasy in my fan fiction. However in an imaginary scenario other people and I did get our wish, I'd hope to be vegan there. Being raised to not steal and hurt other Ponies would be fine, but other creatures we share the world with matter just as much as we do in my opinion. I may need to go for a walk in a moment, I'm giving myself too much of a case load to think about and I really cannot discuss it in a lot of detail here. I was giving my opinions on a subject matter, hoping to bring about positive change if any could be done.
  12. That is pretty much the reason why I stopped eating meat and dairy many years back. Industrial farming of animals rubbed me the wrong way, and I knew something was wrong with it, and I know some friends who felt the same way who also stopped eating meat and dairy for the same reason. I'm not trying to make people feel guilty about this, I am mentioning something from our perspective. I never understood why Hasbro felt the need to depict this in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic either, it is one glaring flaw with the show I can pick out in an otherwise entertaining story. If Applejack makes a living off of farming apples, why does she need to keep an animal ranch? does not make sense to me. Not only that but it beggars belief that she would have the time to do all that when she struggled to farm apples by herself in Applebuck Season episode. Don't get me wrong here, it was a good episode, I actually found it funny regardless of the fact that there were mishaps in it like Applejack accidentally making Pinkie Pie and other Ponies sick from food poisoning. However, I cannot overlook one issue with the show that reflects something dark about our world.
  13. No, we do not need meat to survive, since all the nutrition we need exists in edible plants and fungi. Even with the vitamin B12 thing, that can be synthesized by microbes. Marmite may not taste good but it pretty much guarantees you supplement B12 what you don't get from fortified meals. If you're allergic to one type of food like peanuts, substitute it, protein including all of the required amino acids is abundant in plant based foods if you know what to look for, humans synthesize taurine, so that is a non issue, we are not cats. On an unrelated note, I'm surprised that Ponies in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic eat meat at all, since real life horses are herbivores. While it is understandable why Hasbro did not want MLP characters to have what most of us would consider a boring lifestyle, there are plenty of edible plant based foods out there. Quite frankly I find it lazy to have Ponies copy and paste the lifestyle of humans, instead of showing people a better way of doing things that is more ethical, and I don't mean by eating grass or other inedible plants that would either destroy our teeth or poison us.
  14. Hello Samurai Equine, it has been a while, how are you? I hope you're okay today. If there's anything you wish to speak to me about you're welcome to do so. I've just commented on a page somebody else set up about an annual festival for the two sisters of Canterlot. I mean, seems interesting, what is your take on it? seems like a good way to find out how many fans of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna there are I think. :kindness:

Hello, @Dawnshine Wonder! I am good, thanks. You just caught be before I had to go to bed. So it'll be a while before you see my next reply. :derpytongue:

Either way, I am glad to see you around again, and in better spirits! To answer your question, I have not seen this page, but I'd love to see it before I make a proper comment. :twi-thisisfine2:

  15. Anxious about the therapy session in 2 days from now, what to say and what not to. It does not undo past mistakes though, feeling emotional pain does not help.
  16. Yes please, an annual festival for the Royal Sisters of Canterlot would be wonderful. Knighthood in honour of Princess Celestia would be sweet. Would it be appropriate to say Princess Celestia is a goddess of radiation? I suppose I could write that title for her in my MLP fan fiction if I continue on with it. But I have to get my therapy session done first, I'm not in a good state of mind right now, I wish I were at the peak of sanity but I am not. And if I try carrying the fan fiction on right now I will end up making mistakes. Disclaimer for Hasbro, I fully acknowledge I do not own the IP, and the title I give Celestia is a mere fan interpretation only, Hasbro decides if that is fitting or not.
  17. In the case of radio signals from civilizations sent from distant parts of the universe, they may not have had enough time to reach us, given even the observable universe is billions of light years wide. By the time they would reach us, it would probably be too late and all we would be really doing is observing past events, civilizations from billions of years ago could already be extintct by now, it is possible animal and plant life could exist on other planets but not all animal life would have a civilization like humans do. Highly intelligent life may be rare in the universe for all we know, of all the species that exist on Earth, only one of them became smart enough to build automobiles, computers and advanced infrastructure like sewers, power grids and what not. And if no detectable life on other planets exist within our galactic neighbourhood, it would be much harder finding it anywhere else, between galaxies is an empty cold void with mostly atoms from gas, subatomic particles and background radiation, perhaps a few orphaned planets sent drifting through space that got kicked out their solar systems for one reason or another. The majority of the universe is like that, and galaxies and filaments of gas that formed them take up a small fraction of what we call space, the rest is a cold, dark and lifeless vacuum.

  20. That's unfortunate, if it's a cold or flu you'll most likely recover, I hope you do anyway, it was not very long ago since I had a very bad cold that lasted for a week, I recovered from it but I was coughing a lot. Nothing we can do about it except rest, keep hydrated and nourished.
  21. The universe may actually be older than predicted as well, this is because of the thing called the particle horizon, no one can see anything beyond it, but the universe has been expanding for a very long time, there is no viable way for scientists to find out just how many galaxies are beyond that particle horizon because any light that is further away from that point cannot reach us, ever. All they can rely on is an educated guess based on their own math. But as been said, the universe is very big, it may even be infinite.
  22. An underrated E series robot in Sonic the Hedgehog franchise in my opinion.

  23. Not sure what to think of the Beyblade anime, on the one hand, yes, making animals fight is wrong, however Tyson's Dragoon and other sacred spirits appeared to be a special case, in that Dragoon actually talked to Tyson and seemed to consent in the battles he was in, he could have left Tyson any time he wanted, but he chose not to, on top of that, Dragoon helped save the world from manipulative people like Boris and Voltaire, as well as Team Psychic in V Force. Because of that, I was rooting for Tyson to defeat Ozuma from the Saint Shields. If Dragoon and the other sacred spirits got sealed away, the consequences for that would be devastating as there would be nobody left to challenge Boris's gang in G Revolution. Sometimes you got to look at the bigger picture instead of things just on principle.
  24. I took a nap for about half of it, I suppose the heat of the day was making me feel drowsy, helped to prevent me from sweating too much though, so no complaints about that.
  25. The problem with breaking the pot into shards is they could cut anyone who got stuck in them. A brute force method works sometimes but a case like this? I'd go for something less risky first, if that didn't work, then I'd try the hammer, a mild tap just enough to cause a fracture in the pot after telling someone who was trapped in it to not move an inch. I got the idea of soap and water from that time I had a ring stuck on my finger. Plant pots won't be vacuum sealed due to usually having a drainage hole at the bottom to remove excess water, you're right, so soap and water should theoretically be capable of making it easier to remove someone from the pot if they were unfortunate enough to get trapped in it.
