  1. Oh, cool! I say that counts. What kind of terrier? What do you hunt? What's your method? I love it when people work their dogs.
  2. I don't know anyone who uses a rifle to hunt birds. That's what shotguns are for.
  3. Wow, you can really tell which generation people are from based on their answers! I love the Power Puff Girls, but they weren't around when I was a kid, so I can't say they were a childhood favourite.
  4. The term "Love the tolerate" does not mean you have to love and tolerate everyone and everything. That's not implicit in the statement at all. It's open to interpretation of course, but I would say most people would take it to mean that you love and tolerate as a general rule and try to treat others in a kind and humane way.
  5. Hunting for food is much more eco friendly than relying on factory farms and ranches. The hunter from hunting licenses is the primary source of income to maintain most of these wild areas, plus you go in, harvest your animal, and leave with very little impact on the habitat. The animals themselves have a much higher quality of life and are killed humanely, as opposed to animals living in unsanitary and cramped quarters on the factory farms where 99% of people get their meat. As for there being no challenge, I'm guessing you've never actually hunted? I'm learning to hunt after never having hunted my entire life, and there's definitely skill involved. Certainly more skill than picking up a package of processed meat from the grocery store.
  6. Love and tolerate: yes. Why the eff not? I mean, sure, you could go off on a nihilist rant about how nothing really matters, but at the end of the day, being happy feels better than being unhappy (by definition).
  7. I took up hunting last year. I went pheasant and duck hunting. I killed two pheasants, which were delicious! On the duck hunt, I shot a goose and it went down, but when I went to go get it, it got up and flew away. Next hunting season, I'm going to go deer hunting, hopefully. I tried to go last year, but I screwed up my tags and couldn't get anyone go come with me to the wmu where I had tags. I don't own a gun and since I don't have my PAL, I can't actually take a gun anywhere without its owner. As soon as I'm confident enough to go alone, I want to get a rifle and shotgun. I learned how to use a crossbow and those things are awesome, too! Haven't tried a vertical bow yet. I really want to get bows and crossbows for the zombie apocalypse, too.
  8. I don't think this thread is a list of bronyhood criteria, just people sharing their personal brony moments.
  9. Favourite pony is Twilight Sparkle. Guess I relate to her most. I would really like to see more with Princess Luna and Big Mac. Actually, I would really like to see more of any male characters. I'm surprised that Fluttershy seems to be winning in this poll. I thought Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie would be the fan favourite.
  10. When the kids don't want to watch MLP, so you go watch it by yourself on your laptop.
  11. Interesting! Reminds me of the fact that I actually started liking ponies waaaay back in the 80s.

Oh yeah, I should also say, I was finally pushed to join because I saw (and bought) today's shirt at teefury.com, which is a MLP/LoZ mash-up and I loved it so much, I figured every pony should know about it. It only lasts for a day. My post in the forum that's supposed to be for merchandise is locked, though. Because the message was too short, I guess?

Hello. I'm a long time fan of the show, but just how joining the forum. I watch it with my kids and I'm a bigger fan than they are! I'm having a hard time getting my pony fix between seasons, and the bronies memebase doesn't have enough new material for me, so here I am. So yeah, that's me.
