  1. Only a few. The ending of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 was probably the first game that got me to cry. The ending of Thomas Was Alone got me to bittersweet tears at the end. Loved had me crying pretty much the entire time, because that one hit me particularly hard. The ending of Bastion was another bittersweet one for me. I remember The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker making me cry, but I can't quite remember why. The End of Us. Not sure if this one counted as it's hardly a "game", but it definitely hit me hard. If you want to play it, it can be found here. http://www.the-end-of-us.com/ Loneliness also made me cry. http://www.necessarygames.com/my-games/loneliness And finally, the big one, The Walking Dead from Telltale Games.
  2. I'd be a bard. I enjoy entertaining others, and use the force of my personality to overcome obstacles!
  3. Not necessarily. Sometimes the best way to figure something out about someone is by giving them a bit of information yourself, opening up to them as a sign of goodwill. That being said, knowing how much to open up, and how often, is where first impressions can come in handy. First impressions can tell you if someone is -likely- to be friendly or otherwise. You just shouldn't rely on them 100%. Treat them as they are - a guess.
  4. It's always a good idea to reserve judgement until you feel confident about your judgement. You shouldn't dislike or rule out someone as a potential friend just because of some bad first impression. That being said, you shouldn't open up to someone just because they leave a great first impression - proceeding with caution is the best idea with new people, I find.
  5. It depends. I don't think anyone is a good judge of character based purely on first impressions, since it is impossible to fully capture every aspect of one person just in a few fleeting moments. It's impossible to judge anything when you've had such little time to interact with it. So, I believe it is impossible to be a good "judge of character" as defined by this post without making a fair amount of assumptions. That being said, when it comes to judging character overall (after a month or two of knowing someone - interacting with them regularly enough to get to know them), then I do believe I am a good judge of character, at least from the perspective of who I will get along with or not.
  6. "See you later." I live an interesting life, don't I?
  7. It's certainly a possibility. We know Starswirl was trying to harness the same spell as Twilight in Magical Mystery Cure, except it backfired horribly. It's possible that it altered him in horrifying ways - such as turning him into Discord. If this is true, him appearing at the Starswirl exhibition in "Three's a Crowd" would be rather awesome foreshadowing, and I'd applaud the writers for doing so. If he turns out not to be Starswirl, that would be alright as well. Though I would like to know more about both Starswirl and Discord in general - history, even the history of fictional worlds, fascinates me.
  8. Hello. I am someone who is most decidedly not an artist. I'm a programmer at heart, so drawing is a bit of a new thing to me. That being said, behold my terrible drawing of Scootaloo! From my tumblr thing. Criticism is welcome.
  9. I would definently prefer to be a Unicorn. I mean, how cool would telekinesis and magic in general be? I've always wanted to have magical powers, it would just be, well, really cool!
  10. I do believe the most likely one to become a mother is Rarity or Pinkie Pie. However, if the question were who would be the best mother (which it isn't), the answer would very much be either Fluttershy or Twilight.
  11. Heh. Even sot he position is taken, I'd love to see this podcast once it is airing and in production and all. Be sure to share a link and stuff once it's ready - sounds like an excellent idea! When will the podcasts likely start?
  12. Season 3 as a single story arc would be a pretty awesome idea! The only problem with that is, the show is still a children's cartoon, and one of the advantages a cartoon often has is the ability for a child to pick it up from any episode at any time without really having to know anything else about the show - thus blocking off the potential of a story arc longer than, say, two to three episodes, UNLESS they do something like what the show Gravity Falls has been doing (constantly feed tidbits of prior information to new viewers via explanations of past events).
  13. You are most certainly welcome. As I said, there is certainly room for improvement - after all, nothing is ever perfect - and you can work on some things such as the eye, the symmetry, and some of the proportions, but for a first time it is just absolutely fabulous.
  14. Haha, yeah, doing this on survival mode would have been completely crazy! But honestly, I've heard of far crazier things in Minecraft. xD
  15. The meaning of life, in general, is very subjective, seeing as (in my opinion) life has no objective, inherent purpose other than, well, life itself. This means that everyone is free to set their own purpose in life, as I have. Therefore, the meaning of my life is to help those around me, to bring joy to both myself and my loved ones (including my dear friends!) and to leave this world in an overall better state than I entered it (bit of a lofty goal, I know, but aim high and all), as well as the pursuit of knowledge. I wake up every morning knowing that I will likely bring joy to one of my friends this day (or at least provide some form of mild entertainment), as well as knowing that I will learn something today that I did not know yesterday. Living for the sake of living is what makes me want to live a week from now, a year from now, a decade from now, and so on and so forth until I have lived my life to its fullest. My life would be entirely unbearable if all of my current friends abandoned me and the entire world decided that it would hate me. Fortunately, that has not happened as I am a generally likable person (according to others), though this is my greatest fear and doubt in myself - my own self-value and how others perceive me. Conversely, there is nothing I do not posses now that would make my life worth living - life is VERY worth living, no matter how bad things get, so long as I have others to turn to for aid and support. I value my life equally with the lives of everyone else on this planet - even those that dislike me. As I stated earlier - there is no OBJECTIVE meaning of life, merely subjective meanings. But to me, my subjective meaning of life is very important, for reasons stated above. Finally, the practicality of my worldview... aspects of it are practical, aspects of it are not. Clearly I cannot please everyone, and I will likely not leave the world better than I entered it due to how (ultimately) insignificant I am as an individual. However, I can at least try, and to some extent I do succeed. Almost every day I bring smiles to the faces of my friends, and that, frankly, is good enough for me.
  16. Heh. I can't say I really understand what it's like being prosecuted for being a brony in the first place - it was my best friend who converted me to the heard, after all - but I totally understand the joy of sharing the fandom with others. All of my friends are bronies, but last year, one of them was not a brony. On the night before Season 2 premiered, we invaded his house and watched the entire season 1 with him in one night, before proceeding to watch the season 2 premiere the next morning. It was glorious.
  17. Very nice! Though I have to ask, was this done in creative or adventure mode? I suspect creative - which isn't a bad thing. Minecraft art is very challenging - all I ever wind up making is a pitiful little hut XD
  18. I'm not entirely sure it will be two parts - it seems that the finale is more likely to be two parts than the opening at this point, particularly due to the fact that we are only getting 15 Season 3 episodes or whatever.
  19. Because if she was a member of the Wonderbolts, the entire purpose of her character (ie a character with a dream, a character willing to do anything to achieve that dream) loses all of its, well, character. Rainbow Dash is, believe it or not, a very simple character - and a very powerful one because her drive to succeed and reach her dreams is something most people (such as myself) can identify with. The moment she achieves that dream, she becomes far less easy to relate to, far less relevant, and, no offense to Rainbow Dash, but immediately uninteresting.
  20. My brony story? Well, most of my group of friends are bronies. As a matter of fact, it was my best friend who convinced me to watch the show in the first place. However, one of our friends was not a brony- and clearly we could not let this heretic exist in our ranks! So we invaded his house and, on the night before season 2's premiere, watched season 1 in it's entirety from start to finish, and then watched the season premiere of Season 2 when it aired. It was the best thing ever. Oh yeah, and he's totally a brony now.
  21. This is a lot better than most attempts - I applaud you! There are (naturally) a few issues with the proportions, and the eye on the left looks just a biiit off, but, well, it's much better than anything most people could do on their first attempt - and much better than anything I could EVER do.
  22. I have to go with the Rainbow Dash filly. She's just sooo adawable. I love the confident look on her face, the ruffled mane, and just about everything else about Filly Dashie. That being said, Filly Twilight is also extremely adorable.
  23. Part of the appeal of the show, to me, is the art style, the color pallet, and how the writer's creatively use the fact that all of the characters are essentially small horses, leading to many little clever jokes here and there. The show would still have been good but, I think that the ponies are part of the appeal. Just for being ponies. I doubt that "My Little Kitties" would have spawned such a large fandom as part of the reason the fandom grew so big was the persecution of the fandom in it's early days (on 4chan) - and, let's face it, kitties are far more acceptable than ponies. I'm not saying this fandom wouldn't exist, it just wouldn't have really expanded much out of it's birthplaces (4chan and reddit).

    gaming MMORPGs

I've played: Guild Wars, World of WarCraft, RuneScape, EverQuest, The Old Republic, and EverQuest 2. I'm personally sick of MMORPGs. Sick of the amount of time they drain out of my life and sick of monthly fees (though I know Guild Wars doesn't really have this problem). However, Guild Wars 2 has, admitably, gotten me back interested. I may pick it back up, but I swore not to pick up any more MMO's until all of my college apps are done. Prioritizing, woot!
  25. If I could vote, I'd vote for Stewart Alexander, the Socialist party candidate, so I think we agree largely on this Healthcare is a vital issue though - one that is very personal to me (due to reasons I'd prefer not to get into). "Obamacare" is not good simply because it isn't enough (in my humble opinion). However, there is one important thing to remember about "Obamacare" - it is better than what we have now and, ultimately, a step forward.
