That's something that might make me get a PS4.

I've always been more of a PC pony myself, but that game just looks astonishing. It'd be a shame if I passed.

When is it supposed to be released? Mid-2015?

I don't think they've even announced any sort of release window at all. The game's probably still in it's early development stages.

There's no saying the game won't be on other platforms either though. I imagine a game like this would work best on PC anyway. I'm a console gamer through and through but they can never seem to handle online games as well as PC for whatever reason, especially large ones.

I'm actually really looking forward to Splatoon. At first, when I started watching the promo for it, I was like, "Oh, cool? They're squid people? Who shoot paint?" But then as they explained the game more, I was like, "You know, this is actually kind of brilliant!"

Know what'd be neat? If a Splatooner is in the next Smash Bros.

Al I could think of the first time I saw the promo was Squid Girl ( a very unknown anime as far as I'm concerned). But yeah I can't wait for Splatoon! I love the pun in the title too.

Quite frankly I didn't watch E3, as I don't see much interest in it. Only games I'm really looking forward to are FIFA 15, and Dragon Age.

Why do people enjoy sports games? I swear i'm not athletic but I would feel more if I went out and did the sport myself.

Because they are fun. It's kind of like living the dream. Like I don't think I'm going to become the next Messi anytime soon.

Why not just run around outside like an idiot instead of paying ful price for a better graphics version of the same game each year? I also use that arguement as to why I airsoft and not play CoD.

Why don't you  hijack cars, and beat up hookers. It just don't make sense. FIFA is love, FIFA is life. The end.

Well I can play soccer/football in my own life with no negative impacts, I can't hijack a car with out legal problems. If I can do it/replicate it in real life I'll do that instead but if it is outside of my powers (Dragon slaying, terrorism, building planets, transforming, etc.) I'll play the game of it. Games are an escape for me.

Same for me. I like playing FIFA shouldn't be that hard to understand.

I starting to think our definitions of escape are what is different here...

On this note, a lot of people are thinking Nintendo won E3 how so.

Lots of games, gameplay, release dates, surprises(like Devil's Third being a Wii U exclusive), new IPs, Starfox, Smash Bros, lots of other good stuff, being entertaining in general

Seriously, the only thing keeping this E3 from being their all time best was the lack of 3rd parties

The pretty much sealed the deal that the Wii U isn't dead by announcing a bunch of stuff that people wanted/ didn't know they wanted till it was announced.

Pac Man in Smash Bros. (kind of expected but still got hyp)

You own custom Miis in Smash Bros (I can now punch Princess Peach in the face, thank you)

A new game called Spaltoon (out of left field and looks great)

Hyrule Warriors info (so much hype)

New Zelda Game (looks beautiful)

Mario Maker (make your own mario games)

And a bunch of other games that look great.

I'm not that big of a Nintendo fan, but I could see how one would like it.

Nintendo fans, must have been freaking out. My guess.

I think this is a pretty flawed way of thinking. A lot of people love sports games, and some just prefer playing video games over playing the sport itself

So much hype and fan boys joy!

Nintendo even made fun of itself a bit. They hired Robot Chicken to make fun of them.

@,@,@,

On the note of sports in video games vs real sports...like Kamina said it's sometimes for for the video games than the sport itself but at the same time one could argue that if you can do it in real life without major repercussions you should.

On the other hand...you aren't doing the exact same thing. It takes years and years of really hard work to even think of being in a professional sports team. Even if you were just playing a casual game with friends you'd need large amounts of players who may or may not have the time to actually come play so you have to set dates and plans for a possibly very rare occasion.

In a game you would get to play the pro teams any time of day, with a realistic experience and with stats based around that year's real stats. As with any other video game, it's a simulation of things that one cannot normally experience themselves.

I don't play sports games myself very often. Golf and tennis is about where I stay, mostly the latter. I have an MX vs ATV game that I haven't even played and I also have Forza 4 which I also haven't played but that's a different story.
