Y'ever taste medical-grade rubbing alcohol? Because that's what every single alcoholic beverage I've ever tasted has tasted like. Beer, vodka, rum, you name it. It tastes exactly like that.

Noting that, I see absolutely no appeal whatsoever. Furthermore, I don't understand how anyone can actually enjoy it. I 'spose different strokes for different blokes, but I personally don't see the logic there.

You must be drinking some bottom of the barrel piss-water there, my friend.

You're about one thing. Not all drinks taste like medical stuff. But don't look at me as some major liquor expert. I just drink some Red wine and maybe some Scotch when I need to wind down.

Imagine if you will being on your death bed – And standing around your bed – the ghosts of the ideas, the dreams, the abilities, the talents given to you by life.

And that you for whatever reason, you never acted on those ideas, you never pursued that dream, you never used those talents, we never saw your leadership, you never used your voice, you never wrote that book.

And there they are standing around your bed looking at you with large angry eyes saying "We came to you, and only you could have given us life! But now. We must die with you FOREVER!

The question is – if you die today, what ideas, what dreams, what abilities, what talents, what gifts, would die with you?

I'm not a liquor expert myself, I leave that sort of thing to the bartenders and alcoholics. I just don't see how you could drink that much alcohol and it all taste like rubbing alcohol unless you pressed your taste buds against a hot stove before having a drink.

At first I thought budweiser tasted like piss. Years later and I think the same.

But every other alcoholic drink has been getting better tasting as I've grown older.

Love me some Whiskey!

The trick with alcohol id finding one you like, sampling each kind and weeding out ones you dislike from those you do. My personal recommendation for a first is a margarita. Something that is soft on the alcohol.

I love it. To those of you who don't like it, alcohol will always be the one friend you can turn to when there is nobody else. Except budweiser. Budweiser is piss in a can with  a little alcohol added

Budweiser: the friend without benefits.

Budweiser: the friend without benefits.

To me it tasted like rubber. That's why I'll stick to dark red wine. Chileed, of course.

If smell indcates taste in any way, then no thanks.

I'll probably enjoy fancy wine in the future, or maybe not. I won't be finding out anytime soon, I can tell you that!

It's probably fort the better good if you do. Wine also helps your heart health if it's red.

Tasted beer and wine once, and I never did so again.

Plus, I don't understand why people find so much enjoyment in getting dizzy and losing their minds. I lose my mind already when I play classical music... well.. .in a healthy way mind you! :P

Well for people like myself, it's more or less about enjoying the buzz. It's more about savoring the flavor of your drink. I drink relatively slow so if I do end up feeling a bit buzzed, it don't get too affected by it. The buzz does feel good if you are controlled in your drinking, but I never reach the level of drunk because of how careful I am with alcohol. Like they said in Family Guy "Don't mess with Mr. Booze." lol

Ahhh. It's just that I never really enjoyed the flavours from the drinks. But that's me.

As for "Don't Mess with Mr. Booze", here's the original song, from the movie "Rat Pack"!

I second Social Drinking, at least with friends and family anyway. It a good way to be sure you drink in moderation. Though sadly even then some people are still out of control.

I know I'm a little young for this topic but I'm sure I can trust you guys, back in a hard time for my life I diddnt have very good friends and they peer pressured me to drink with them at a party we went to

I HATED IT I was only 15 at the time I an 16 now and I still feel bad for it and for breaking the trust of my mom. I was so ashamed when she looked at me and could tell I was drinking and I will never do it again even when I'm of age.
