After dropping my HTC One I don't know how many times, it's finally died. I'm in the market for a new phone, so which one should I buy?

Nokia Lumia Ico-

Oh, right. You live in the UK.

We In the UK do have the Lumia Icon, it's just called the Lumina 930!

Hmm... true. I have a Lumia Icon and I love the phone. You need to hit it with a meteor to destroy it too, in true Nokia fashion. So I'd say the Lumia 930 (although I may be a bit biased.)

Do you have Cortana on your phone yet?

I upgraded it to 8.1, so yes, I do. She's funny :D

The only thing that is stopping me getting a windows phone is lack of apps! I love Nokia though, my first mobile phone was the 3210. I've still got it and it still works!

The app situation is much better than it was a year ago. It's still not perfect yet, but Windows Phone is getting there.

If you want to be a hipster, get a Jolla. It's made by old-school Nokia guys

If not.. well, just recent Nokias will do. I personally want to get 1020 soon-ish.

If your looking to save money, the LG Optimus L90 is a pretty good phone. It's only $180, I think. It's got Android 4.4, and a nice screen with 8 gb of internal memory. Of course, I'm not sure what carrier you're on, because it's a T-Mobile exclusive.

Just get the HTC One M8. You probably won't want to switch to another company, and I've heard it's a great one.

Thanks! I bought the M8 a couple weeks ago!

I've had a Samsung Galaxy S3 for over a year now and I still love it. If you're going to get one similar I'd probably suggest a newer model, but like I said, I still love mine.

...But that's just my opinion.

I know you already bought the M8, but I just wanted to comment that Microsoft is looking to bring Android app compatibility to Windows Phone. Once this happens it might be enough to get me to switch, even if I have been happy with my Samsung phones for many many years, Nokia makes great stuff too so I won't feel too bad.

I wonder what that will do to the state of native apps for the platform when devs won't need to port their Android apps for them to run on Windows Phone...

Sounds neat, though. As much as I dislike Metro for non-touch enabled devices, it looks nice on a phone. I do like my current Samsung S4, even if the stock battery is miserable.

I don't have suggestions as I don't collect content consumer hardware.

I wonder how they're going to accomplish that lmao.
