G1 is part of "My Little Pony" just as much as G4 is, so it doesn't matter which gen you like best; you're still just a regular Brony. And that right there is why you are NOT one of the Bronies that are hated. It's perfectly fine to like one incarnation of a show over another (Trek and Dr. Who anyone?) I think what causes so much ire would be the Bronies who tend to scream that FiM ruined the innocence of MLP or some such garbage like that.
