New Whitechapel released today. Easily better then any of their previous works, I'm actually interested in them for once.

 

The new Acacia Strain also dropped recently. Don't know if anyone here aside from me likes them that much, though.

Alright, time for some Dethklok. I was listening to this song the other day and I remembered why I love this band. They have this epic undertone to all of their guitar work, especially about two minutes into this song.

The only reason I even got their first album was because I had played Thunderhorse in Guitar Hero 2 which was amazing and then I heard the rest of their songs and was absolutely amazed. Then I learned of the second album which in some ways is even better than the first but it's got a totally different sound to it so it's entirely possible to like the sound of the Dethalbum over the Dethalbum II.

 

That particular song is from Dethalbum II while the first song (you'll notice it's called "Murmaider 2") is on the first Dethalbum. I really wish there was a third album.

I'm trying to get into Pantera.

Start with Vulgar Display of Power or Cowboys from Hell. Then get Great Southern Trendkill then (if you REALLY like the band) Far Beyond Driven. I could recommend Reinventing the Steel but that's a matter of how much you liked the other albums.

Also, new Bonded By Blood track. Given what happened to them, this track isn't too bad - the remaining guitarist has REALLY stepped up to the plate.
