Uh... sorry? And also, nice band you got there.

What's a day in the metal thread without @Djenty's Ghost calling Tesseract shit and @Essere un'albero arguing that they're not?

My favourite song is Evil Has No Boundaries or The Antichrist, from Show No Mercy. You wanna fight?

DAMMIT. I thought I should have put that, but I didn't think anyone's favorites would be from that! ;_;

I was expecting this to be your favorite from the album, though.

Don't mind me. Just giving this thread some mathcore.

So I listened to Baroness' Red and Blue albums on the way home from the airport... traffic everywhere.

I should probably check out some of their stuff. They seem pretty cool. Also, I assume this means you're familiar with their bus crash?

And some old school stuff at that! I'm drawing a blank on what else to say in reply to that, so have some Converge.

No... I'm not. I also haven't listened to Yellow and Green yet :( Also, they're playing at a record store near me on the 28th and I can't go :C

WELL YOU THOUGHT WRONG

It's a good track, with great intro and a sweet ending solo, but EHNB has THE intro to really get you sucked in, while Jeff's playing on The Antichrist is, well as shocking as this sounds, beautiful.

Well, I checked out the Blue Record. Sounds great. And for more info on the accident.

Hey, no one posted these guys in a while! So I will!

AKA, I'll be taking a break from posting a ton of Meshuggah and Djent, and just post some death metal.

A day wasted, that's what.

Let's have something a little more grind-y in here.

I've been starting to get back into grind for a while now.

You guys ever find a metal record, CD, cassete or any of the type around your house that you didn't know was there?

I did, in one of the bags my uncle kept in the storage.

It's a punk thrash band from my home town! The band splitup though, and now the guitarist is in Skull Fist if any of you know the band.

Uh... I once found the Black Album in my dad's CD collection, if that count for anything.

I don't know why, but I really like Maynard's voice. It's so soft.

-PsyOpus-

There's a difference between grind and math. PsyOpus IS rather insane, though. I nearly shat myself the first time I heard Our Puzzling Encounters Considered. There's an awesome Red Chord cover at the end though.

@, I haven't listed to Tool in a long time. Their music still holds up quite well since they're one of the earliest bands I discovered that I still enjoy. I remember listening to Undertow and wondering what I was listening to at one point.

I feel like for as much as I love riding the djent wave, there are some bands that don't set themselves apart from the pack all that well. This is the opposite.

Psyopus isn't grind? Huh. News to me.

Oh well, I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong again. So have some of these guys, who I can't put a genre on since they switch up their style every 45 seconds.

Thanks to NNL I've listened to this band at least a few times a week.

I really love the sound of their music, it's really hitting the spot right now. I could die right now and be satisfied with this music playing.

Hell yeah! Oh, and by the way, that song you posted was written for the vocalist's mother, who was sick with cancer I think.

Amazing how epic some music can be when it's made for a loved one, isn't it?

Now that's stage diving and mosh pit madness. lol

I'm reminded of this song by Staind

It was made, as far as I remember, for a fan who committed suicide. I can't tell if it's supposed to be a "fuck you for being so weak" kind of song or a condolences kind of song. Maybe a little of both.

(I know, not metal, but relevant)
