The band Misery Signals was before they were Misery Signals.

Sorry to gush, but these guys are all from my local scene, and now they TOUR THE FUCKING WORLD.  They inspire the fuck out of me.

@,

Not sure why you quoted me, I'm not the one who posted that song.

Great studio song but I have seen some terrible live performances which leads me to believe dragonforce is a joke.

I've heard they are terrible live, and I heard they are fake, but maybe that's a rumor or something idk.

I never got into that band cause it seems like all their songs pretty much all sound just like Through the Fire and Flames.

Yeah that seems to be the case with them.

I quoted just to reference to what said probably should have just quoted the original poster. *mi bad*

Hooray for Industrial Metal. This thread needs more Industrial.

Ministry

Industrial, and Industrial Metal are two of my favorite kinds of music, right up there with Thrash, NWOBHM, 70's/80's hard rock, and Melodeath.

Industrial metal? Pshh, how about some industrial hip-hop?

Okay, serious time. I don't listen to much industrial metal and this is probably extremely entry level stuff, but here is some Mushroomhead. Industrial's just not really my thing.

Yep, I've heard that too. Although I also have heard (as of like 2011 or something) that Herman Li can actually do most of his stuff live now. Regardless of live quality though, I've just never been able to get into Dragonforce. It sounds quite overproduced, which I find slightly worse than underproduction. Oh well.

How about Industrial Metal with Black Metal influences?

I never did get into Mushroomhead, though. Then again, I haven't heard a great deal of their stuff, but their sound just never appealed to me much.

I think we need a little more grind.  Just a bit.

See You Next Tuesday's always been a crowd pleaser.

Then again, I could have played "8 Dead, 9 If You Count The Fetus."

Industrial and Black metal? Sounds cool. And for that video you posted, I almost thought of another band called Nyne. Similar band name, similar genre too, except it's Black Metal with Industrial influences rather than the other way around. Industrial Black Metal, it's really nice!

And here's a good song by his new band known as How To Destroy Angels

I like how we're away from Industrial Metal into plain ol' post-Industrial.

I'l keep it heavy.

The most industrial-sounding group I usually gravitate towards is Strapping Young Lad, and they aren't even that industrial. They have keys, but that's about it.

This album blew my mind when I first heard it. I still can't comprehend how it manages to be as noisy as it is, especially the beginning of this song, or the bridge of "Oh My Fucking God" (which is aptly named, by the way). I still consider it to be the angriest album of all time.

suck it, nu-metal

I really like this one

I've been listening  to lot of bands like this recently.

Also been listening to this.

Here are the lyrics to it.

For those who aren't used to Screaming vocals.

You're torn inside

You don't know which voice to believe
Indecision will leave you with nothing
Why even try when you think you know all the answers?
When you just sit there rotting away
Do you know the difference between knowledge
And understanding?

Tribulations -- denial in the face of the end
Endure the suffering and reinvent yourself
You're mindless -- it's undermining your efforts
To improve on the life that you lead

Your perception is clouded by the minds of the infected
Your perception is clouded by the lies of the infected

Will their lies be believed?
Or will they crumble?

The unholy battle within one can leave you
Can leave you begging on your knees
For a chance to breath
You must disconnect from reality for
Just a moment of internal peace
Is the mind your ally or enemy?
In the end it all comes down to the eyes
In which you choose to see through

Let go of the thoughts that drag you straight to your fucking knees
And shed the skin of ignorance and assumptions

Confined within your mind lies the reasons why
You're in this bind -- with no way out!

There's no way out!

Failure is hard to swallow when your eyes are closed
Know that it might be the last time that
You can make this right
You'll find your way out.

"It's either Blue Cheese with wings or go fuck your mother!"- Joey"CoCo"Diaz

"I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you f*ck with me, I'll kill you all." - Gen James 'MadDog' Mattis USMC

The beginning of this song always scares the shit out of me.  Pretty good melodic metalcore from Australia.

I just realized... much of the recent metal bands I'm starting to like are Aussie

Not that's a bad thing or anything, just an observation.

Nothing like old school death metal, right? I mean, can't forget the fathers. Now, is the term death metal actually derived from Death or did they name their band after the genre?

I'm in a folk metal mood today, like always.  It is my favorite subgenre, after all.  I love this riff, it's almost like a thrash-folk type thing.

And here's some Celtic melodeath.

I don't know why but I decided to listen to my least favorite album of the 2000's: Avenged Sevenfold's "City of Evil." I guess I just wanted to reaffirm that I still hate it as much, and I do.

1/10 would not find enjoyable at all

Meh, I find Waking the Fallen and Sounding of the Seventh Trumpet to be pretty good records, within the genre of metalcore at least.

But if we're going metalcore, one of my favorites is Within the Ruins. Not really anything special or significant, I just take a liking to them and the fact that they can cover a song by Kansas effectively (full song not on Youtube)

People need to face the fact that Gary Holt is at least ten billion times cooler than Dave Mustaine. Just check this sh*t out.

Death metal can be traced back to the band Possessed. They came out of few years before Death but, their album "Seven Churches" was still on thrash side. Where as "Scream Bloody Gore" is obviously death metal.

Well thanks for bashing one of my favorite albums ever. You pretty much just ruined my day.

Sounding the Seventh Trumpet is pretty cool, but I think Waking the Fallen is much stronger overall. WtF is my favorite Avenged Sevenfold album.

Die Apokalyptischen Reiter is pretty cool.  I found out about them a while back, but decided to give them a chance today.  I was not disappointed  in fact, was pretty impressed.

Oh, and would you guys consider Neue Deutcsche Harte to be a subgenre of metal?  It's one of those controversial topics, but what do you guys think?

finally found a metal thread. I have a local underground band not signed to any record labels. They are called Corpse Molesting Perverts. Be warned, i am into bands like amon amarth, metallica, and cannibal corpse. some songs i might post might be a little too heavy for some. CMP being one of them

I don't think there's a such thing as too heavy if we're in the metal thread, dude.

I've begun liking Whitechapel a bit more, to be honest.I could never really like them before.
