Got some melodic hardcore sent my way on Tumblr and it's pretty good!

The tone is very listenable and the vocals are a nice high mid.

I think Moog will be happy to hear that I'm starting to dig this song:

I like the part where it goes "Bury your hands in the sand. You'll never use them on me again."

That's one of my favorite lines ever, and that song was my first Norma Jean song, and I still love it today, probably the best track off of Meridional.

Listening to Lifelover right now, so I'll leave one of their tracks here:

FUCK ME SIDEWAYS.

And call me Sally.

Listen To The Colors is quite possibly one of the most solid releases I've heard all year. Everything Treeboy said is exactly how I feel about it. They did some really weird and experimental shit on it, and at around half an hour, it doesn't overstay it's welcome nor miss the welcome mat either.

Reposted song, but srsly, this one song will give you a small taste of what the album has to offer.

I know I have a tendency to overhype some albums that really aren't that great, but seriously, take the half hour out of your lives and indulge in the synthy, experimental, mathy, weird-ass masterpiece that these guys can put out.

Unrelated sidenote, new Born Of Osiris album is literally the equivalent of brostep in metal. Not necessarily disappointing, but The Discovery was so much greater. They use the synth more than anything else in this release, and they use it to cover up the laziness of the guitar riffing which I personally don't like.

BOO has always been hit and miss.  They really need to find themselves musically.  Most bands have a progression throughout and theirs is more like someone spinning in a bar stool and throwing darts at random.

A personal favorite of mine and Railrunner's, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE put out their new record a few days ago.

A joyride all the way through, and it doesn't disappoint. It's not much of a step forward or back from Agony, but the inclusion of more choir and female vocals is always a good thing. Musically, it's the same band making the same music and thats all you can ask for with a band like this.

My friends, I have started using Pandora so hopefully I can find a little bit of new music!

This is currently playing on a station I started for Scar Symmetry.

I dunno if I've ever mentioned it before but I love combination of growling/screamo and clean vocals like how In Flames, the above band and Scar Symmetry do. There's a reason Melodic Death is so high on my list. :P

Speaking of In Flames, this song is a perfect example of what I love about it. I actually knew this song before it showed up on Pandora but forgot about it.

All I need to say is watch out for Dawn

I remember when I first heard of these guys I thought that someone was talking abut Godflesh, Fleshgod Apocalypse aren't bad at all.

Also since it seems as if we've gotten into a bit of a Death Metal disscusion, I'll just leave this and say that you're all too easy.

Rather be easy than hard.

Noted, though Communion is the pinnacle of symphonic death.

I'LL MAKE SURE TO POST ALL ABOUT MY SHOW TOMORROW NIGHT, LOVE YOU GUYS.

Trivium's old stuff has a cool style of riffing.

I've barely listened to any metal lately but I did listen to Amplifier Worship in its entirety earlier today.

Come Clarity is bad. I can't believe I sat through the whole thing.

I haven't heard NEARLY enough In Flames to make that judgment myself. That album is actually the only one I know cuz one of it's songs is on Guitar Hero 3 (if I remember right) where I first heard of them.

My Pandora just brought up Dethklok's I Tamper With The Evidence At The Murder Scene Of Odin. I absolutely love that song and the Dethalbum II in general.

You should listen to At the Gates, they were one of the first metal bands that I ever liked. IMO, they're better than In Flames.

This album brings back so many memories of the 8th grade.

Good, because it makes it more fun for me

Most people will tell you that Reroute to Remain was the downfall of In Flames, though I'd probably say that Come Clarity was the start of their downfall, not that I think it was a terrible album, I just think that it and the albums ahead of it were a bit weaker than their previous albums. The Jester Race is my favorite In Flames album.

Also I agree with Dawn that At The Gates are MUCH more superior than In Flames are.

I went and looked them up.

About ten minutes in and I do actually agree they are better than In Flames. They have far more distinct beats and just as much, if not more, melody. My weaknesses.

Buddy of mine threw me these guys on Facebook this morning.

So much good metalcore around lately.  I'm glad, it's been due for a proper revival.

Someone remind me to listen to this at some point.

I'm a huge Grind the Ocean fan, so I hope this will deliver too. I'll have to get to it later due to my emo dilemma that I explain on RD92's thread.

This might very well be my Hardcore AOTY. I can see another album topping it, but that will be hard to do. This stuff is so aggressive and noisy, yet catchy and memorable . I love the vocals too.

I'm going to listen to the rest of their discography soon

In case you guys want the album, it's available for free on their bandcamp

I think I've been recommended this band in the past and they've been showing up a lot on my Pandora. I definitely love their sound.

A friend has been introducing me to Falconer too. I definitely love what I hear. I dunno what you call that guitar style right there at the end but I love it. It's probably my favorite guitar sound ever but it doesn't show up very often.

I really like both those songs. Shogun by Trivium is one of my favorite albums, actually. I really disagree with Dawn about Come Clarity being horrible, but he and I have very different tastes.

On another note, I picked up a couple CDs yesterday. I got Endgame by Megadeth, which I honestly wasn't super impressed with. I would say it's about as good as United Abominations, which is okay. I also got Sacrament by Lamb of God, which also wasn't super impressive, but it's not bad at all.

Is Sacrament the one with Laid To Rest on it? I haven't listened to a lot of Lamb of God but I adore that song.

No, that's Ashes of the Wake, which is my personal favorite album by them. Much better than Sacrament or Wrath.

Laid to Rest and The Faded Line are my favorite LoG songs.

Ah yes.  Sippin' on some coffee, and posting in the metal thread.  Like good ol' times

Check out Signals From Saturn.  It's Joey Nichols, the drummer from the band Substructure's new band.  Ever since Substructure became a studio project, a majority of the dudes started doing their own thing.  I was a big fan of Monolith, so it's great to hear new stuff getting pumped out from some of these bros.

This song came up on my newly-created Skeletonwitch station. I've heard of Amon Amarth before but never listened to them. It's strange though, slow metal usually doesn't do much for me but this song drew me in and I couldn't stop listening.
So I've heard THREE Amon Amarth songs so far, all from the same album though, and...I REALLY like the sound. It's melodic, beat-sensitive and the vocalist is amazing.
