Summerize Rainbow Factory

I read the fanfic but I still don't get it. Can someone please explain and simplify for my tiny half brain to understand the story? Just a short simple summary.

I don't really know, to be honest. But, if you really want to know, my best guess would be that the people at Rainbow Factory 

 

1. Ponynap Ponies, bring them to the factory.

2. Use a needle like thing to suck all the rainbows out of there hearts.

3. Let em' go.

Little pegasi who fail their flight exams are ground up into rainbows at the rainbow factory which Rainbow Dash happens to work at. (Also, Scootaloo failed her test and pyscho dashie is disappoint. Violence ensues.  )

Scootaloo and her friends (this takes place several years after the show) fail a flying test in a dystopian  version of Cloudsdale, and are sent to the Rainbow Factory to be made into rainbows. Rainbow Dash is insane from working at the factory and loses her love for Scootaloo because she failed the test.

 

 

 

My summary of Rainbow Factory is this: Ridiculous.

Cloudsdale is the same... only the perfect pegasi can live, all those worthless excuse for pegasi who can't fly well bust me eliminated, eradicated and destroied. the reason is simple: Equestria trust in the pegasi's job with the weather.. how can Equestria trust the whole Cloudsdale Weather corporation if some ponies are so reatrd to dail even such a simple flying test?

 

that is a big problem, but there is an even bigger one: Rainbow.. oh ponies thinks rainbows comes out from magic and stuff.. but no, someponies belives it is from enslaved unicrons, others from crazy chemistry.. but the truth.. the truth is that every pony has a bit of magic in his/her body, this magic is the same that gives a pony its cutie mark, the magic that keeps her coat and mande so colorfull. this magic and those colors are called Spectra.

 

Spectra is also the main "ingredient" of a rainbow ja?

 

so here there is the CWC, the Cloudsdale weather corporation

 

the big faclity is made by two main levels, the lower one is were all the normal workers are, here Spectra get mixed toghter and used to make rainbows.. the upper level.. is wehre Spectra is produced, do you follow me ja? Sehr gut

 

now.. you see... a rainbow's tail ins't quite as nice as the story of sugar and spice... in the upper level we have the best creation, the top of the pegasi tecnology: the pegasus Device

 

this machine.. this.. perfect *sniff* immortal machine is what keeps our beautifull society going... yes... those worthless failure here turns into something.. into something beautifull.. into something worth their meaningless existence! we use those livestock to create Spectra! The machine cuts their limb first, ponies are kept alive, fear makes Spectra flow, that means more colors, ahem, we cut thier limbs and remove water and blood trough exication, the skin and other colored parts are grinded and mixed togheter with the filtered blood ja? this way we get a flui liquid color base, again, the Spectra, which is filtered and sennt to the lower section for the fabbrication of rainbows

 

this is our little secret ja? some wortheless failures tried to escape.. pfft our manager took care of them don't worry... now.. i have maintenances to do.. see you in hell *takes off and leaves*

Rainbow Factory imho is a bit like the allegory of the nazist idea of the search for the perfection of the race, and the brutal yet cold and mecanized way to dispatch to those who "fails" the canon of their "perfect society".

Cloudsdale may ask "where re those fillies and colts?" but they don't do.. they don't know about the factories.. just like nazist with their fucking stermination camps.. this is my vision of all

Rainbow factory gives me great idea of a setting, it's a shame I can't use it as it's other peoples work so it'll just have to be a head canon for now.
