Backstory: Connor grew up in a bad part of london, his parents weren't rich, or poor for that matter, but the did scrape by life.

 

Connor was what most people would consider, street smart, he didn't get many qualifications in school or collage, he never bother attending university but he was always a gifted speaker, able to get most of his fellow class mates to follow any plans he had or give him some money, for whatever reason he told them, and he was also quite gifted when it came to persuading the teachers why he was late to class or why he had been selling cigarettes behind the bike shed.

 

As he got older he realised he could make some serious money by using his people skills to part people with their cash, and that's what he's been doing since the age of nineteen.

 

Other distinctive features: Caucasian, very pale skin, a rough 5 o'clock shadow, wears a black suit with a white shirt and sunglasses.

Whoa...! Frickin' forgot! Ah, I'll do one right quick but I don't think I can make another reply until Tuesday if then. Considering that I have family raiding my house for the moment. 

 

 

Name (First and last): Serenity "Faye" Rose

Hair color: She's a natural brunette but dyed it white.

Occupation: Freelance Animator

Backstory (A little more about your character): Serenity was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey. She was born in a family who pride themselves of excellence. All of Serenity's cousins, aunts, uncles and so on became very successful in many ways. Dealing with a wide variety of skills such as music, fashion, sports, science, you name it. Even though a lot of her family were successful, they were incredibly distant as well. As a result, Serenity never got to meet most of her family at a younger age. Her mother and father were both college professors at Princeton University. Serenity was no different, she had a very hard and very strict one. Her parents, although fair and just, made sure that Serenity kept her grades up in school and kept her out of trouble. In school, she was often called the "budding genius" because of her stellar grades and skills from all of which she was taught by her own family to keep her ahead of the game, so to speak. She hated it but she never complained because she knew that one day all of her hard work would pay off in the end. So, from a little girl until she became a young woman, all she ever did was study and focus on school so she never really had much of a social life until she gotten to fifth grade.

 

That and well...She had an outlet that her parents never knew about. Around the time she was in fifth grade, she was heavily invested in something she never thought she'd be interested in, Japanimation. Every time her parents went to work and she didn't have any school, she would watch episodes of anything she could find on TV and the internet. Even at school while she was working, every once in a while, she'd think and talk about her favorites among her classmates that loved that sort of thing as well. It was the very thing that she needed to figure out what she wanted to do in life. Instead of becoming like her parents in becoming a scholar, she would peruse her dream of becoming an animator. Not just working with anime but western cartoons as well, she wanted to put her mind on being creative. She did this in secret, she'd not only keep up her grades in school but also practicing her drawing which she wasn't half bad at in the first go around. The after the day she graduated high school and them looking into universities for her to get into. Her parents found out about her secret double life when they looked into the extra curricular activities she got into and forbid her to continue on such 'silly projects' as they would call it and become something that carried on the tradition of the family. Mainly, to become a professor like them and work in the most prestigious schools in America. Serenity didn't take too kindly to that and told them that she was going to become an animator. She was going to do something she loved doing and they weren't going to stop her. Before her parents could have a say in the matter, she slammed her door shut and locked the door so they couldn't get in. Soon after that, her parents had no choice but to acknowledge her feelings on what she wanted to be so they helped her get where she need to be. From there, she moved out of her huge, luscious house when they chose the right university for her to go to that focused solely on art and animation. The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.

 

From there, Serenity came what she wanted to be through dedication and hard work, finally coming an animator. A job she was proud of and loved doing. She became a freelance animator for a while working on many children's TV shows and working from her own website that she posted weekly web animations of different shows that either was working at the time or has worked on through the consent of the publishers, of course. She later traveled to Japan to try her hand at anime which was a whole sit of new classes she had to take while she was there but for her, it was no problem. She even got to work with some of the best companies out there and earned a name for herself because of her skills. It was there she decided to model her look after a character she was working on at the time Akashiya Moka from Rosario + Vampire as well as using a nickname she gotten from her favorite anime that started her on her path "Faye" from Cowboy Bebop. For her, it was a little memento of her rockin' time meeting some of the best animators in Japan.

 

She stayed there in Japan, to keep close to what she wanted all along. To work in the field of animation, in not just anime but it eventually branched out in computers, games, and movies in Japan. Currently, she lives in Tokyo, Japan where she now works many different works mostly the new IP's nowadays. She looked back on all she had accomplished and didn't have any regrets. Her parents who are proud of her, visit her in Japan from the states eventually teaching them some tricks of the trade of animation. Currently happy what what she did and what she done and will continue to do so until she day she dies.

 

Other distinctive features (if any): She almost a splitting image of Akashiya Moka's vampire form and a choker that was a present from her parents which symbolizes luck.

If it was a DoS attack, it would've been announced. This site has been having a few notification problems as of late and I know they're working on getting us on new servers (Feld0 told me, over some lunch just outside of bronycon, that they've been working on it for a while. Over a year now)

Well, I've been having more problems than just notification issues. Sorry, I thought you were referring to more than jus the notifications. I can't access the site, it just loads a white screen or I get that the website is down, all very randomly over the past few days. I'm not sure how it is for other people but for me the site has been down more than it's up. This has happened on every device I own, whether it's cellphone, tablet, or computer. Except for the blank screen, everything I've experienced is what I remember happening during the DDoS attacks.

That said everything for the past few hours has been working quite smoothly.
