If only that was true and happened in the actual show...it's quite sad to know that it was actually Sunset's place as future Princess that Twilight had taken.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. What a horrible thing to hear so early into the year. And on the very first day too.

I have to admit I didn't care all that much about Sunset Shimmer in the first film.  However, I finally watched Rainbow Rocks recently and that *really* turned me around on that character.  Her character arc there was really interesting and understandable.  I like that it wasn't enough that she just felt sorry about her actions at the end of the first film.  While the Humane Five forgave her, she had to work really hard to regain everyone else's trust, which really shook her own self confidence.  But in the end, when her friends (and everyone else) needed her, she still stepped up to the plate big time.  I love that she was the key element (pun intended) to defeating the Dazzlings and her Anthro transformation in the end may have been the most epic moment of the movie.

 

...  Or well it may have been, if not for the Giant Sky Alicorn attack a few moments later.  But still, solid #2.

When I look for art of Sunset I usually type in "sunset shimmer" with either mlp or an emotion. Or on the top they have #shimmer #princess, and just click one of those, it gives you a lot of choices.

Whoa, WTF?

 

I go away on Christmas Vacation for a week and a half, traveling though the wifi deadzone that is the plains states and American southwest and partaking in various winter solstice & years end related activities.

 

And what do I find when I come back but that the ShimShim fan club has grown by 20 pages! And that apparently I missed out on an entire emoticon contest & victory celebration. Dafuq? Go figure I have to go when things get interesting.
