Which pony race would you want to be? Why?

I would probably be a pegasus because I would like to fly without learning complex magic and walk on clouds. I will admit that being changeling would be pretty cool though.

Changeling. Transformation and pyromagic while also being an insectoid with a sleek grey chitin and fangs. It ticks all my 'this is cool' boxes.

I would love to be a kirin for a whole lot of reasons. First off, they have a lot of awesome stuff going on with their appearance. Their horns, their manes, their tails, their scales, their hooves. Sure they have the convenience of magic, but their hooves look like they could actually hold a pen or cutlery without any problems. They also look really useful for scratching really annoying itches. The other advantage to being a kirin is that most ponies or creatures would be more reluctant about making you angry. Unless they really want their stuff to be burnt to a crisp by the burning intensity of a nirik's fury.

So yeah. Kirin all the way!

Unicorn, because that way you can do stuff such as teleportation, telekinesis, complex spells, etc and you can even cast spells that can allow you to walk on clouds like a Pegasus.
