What I do find ironic is that the Equestrian Wasteland is actually more dangerous in many ways than it's alternate Earth counterpart.

 

For instance radiation is a problem in both but the Taint is unique to Equestria, Super Mutants are tough and strong but Alicorns are just as dangerous in addition to being smarter, lastly Deathclaws sure are dangerous but they can't burrow and they aren't absolute deadshots with energy weapons! (What's worse is you can find Deathclaw groups, but they don't usually actively hunt in packs!)

 

Also while the Enclave were a major threat, they didn't have the numbers or the flying death fortresses of their pegasi equivalents.

 

Add on to the Everfree Forest, dragons, unicorn raiders or slavers, and Equestria actually looks worse than the human Wasteland by comparison!

Yeah I guess your right, and that's just the creatures for the most part. Only in FoE will the turrets literally tear you to shreds. I have noticed how FO3 is actually quite tame. Also FoE is in permanent hardcore mode. I can't imagine facing down a steel ranger w/ a grenade machine gun, rocket launcher, and an auto-heal spell matrix. A super mutant w/ a minigun is already hard for me.

There are also the occasional Zebra tribe that believes the war is still going on and have Zebra stealth tech.

Those are the best kind of tribes! Another favorite are "civilized" cannibals, who happen to have a crazy old stallion w/ a "stick" yelling at people!

In other news The Overmare didn't update their blog today. It's supposed to update bi-weekly on Tuesdays AFAIK and they didn't. They didn't update over spring break so they were supposed to update today. I don't like it when I can't get my fix!

HA Mint-als! I was just playing FO3 today and when I completed a quest Moira Brown gave me 6 mentats! I was like "Oh my god are you trying to get me addicted? Have you heard what those did to LittlePip!"

Well, for a few weeks, i have been reading "Fallout Equestria." I think it is rather good but i feel as if my interest level is exponentially decreasing. At first it was cool because it was all about fallout and survival but now at chapter 17ish, it seems all about doing random errands and sex. Does it get better? No spoilers please!!!!

 

YES!

 

Those chapters aren't that different from the slice of life episodes of the show proper. It's just to show some variety beyond the bleak darkness of the Wasteland. If it were nothing BUT that, it would quickly grow exhausting. Even the games proper had a little light hearted relief here and there with quirky NPCs, it's not all Mad Max stuff.

 

Soon the chapters go beyond mere survival though, Littlepip becomes a proper Fallout protagonist in that she says (albeit unconsciously and over a gradual period of time) "you know what? Screw this grimdark shit! I'm going to save the world!"

 

Trust me that's not a spoiler.

I know the feeling. Wanting action durig the slice-o-life, but action needs respite too. Where do think littlepip can rest and get potions? Not to mention the funny interaction! I also share the feeling of frustration w/ the sex/clop scenes i dont do that and i find it a detracter in most stories, still bear with it. It only gets better!
