"How about we try something else for now?" Brownie asked, hoping none of the other fillies would pick up on Reece's suggestion. "Like, uh, baseball?"

"Cutie Mark Crusaders Sugar Sculptors?" Grey suggested, looking at the Sugar statue of Storm. "Oo~! You guys could be Cutie Mark Crusaders Matchmakers!" Pinkie exclaimed, bouncing onto Storm's Statue's back.

"How about Cutie Mark Crusaders Magicians?" The supposedly Sugar-Storm asked, walking forward. He produced a card and flipped his hoof, causing it to vanish. Storm walked over to Brownie and pulled it out of his ear with his hoof, laying it on the ground in front of the foal.

 

Pinkie looked down, "Hey where'd the sugar statue go?" She asked with a pout. "Over there!" Storm replied and pointed a hoof to where he had walked from, where the sugar-statue was sitting innocently.

"Wait, what!?" Brownie did a double take. "But it was just, how did it, it did a trick on me!"

 

"That it did, Brownie," Apple Bloom said, trying her darnedest not to crack up. "Just like Trixie."

 

"Who's Trixie?" Babs scratched her chin.

 

"You don't want to know," Apple Bloom replied. "Trust me, Babs."

"Did my ears deceive me?" Storm asked before patting the side of his head with a hoof which caused a deck of cards, a small cookbook, and a spatula to go flying out. "Oh... Nopers, they were just a little stuffed..." He chuckled, "So you know Trixie? How's she been doing, it's been a really long time since I last saw her!" Storm questioned with a smile.

Apple Bloom quickly checked around in search of a certain lavender alicorn who was nowhere to be found. "Yeah, well I haven't seen Trixie since the second time she was here," she finally said. "Before that, I thought Snips and Snails bringing the Ursa over to Ponyville was bad. Trixie has proven she can change after the amulet incident, though."

 

"So, there is some good in everypony," Babs said. "But you'd have to dig deep if you're going to find any in Diamond Tiara."

"Y'know, Trixie came into Manehattan on one occasion," commented Riley.

 

He told everypony about a memory of Trixie coming into Manehattan that I am too lazy to think up.

 

"And speaking of Diamond Tiara," said Riley. "She can be kind of a jerk sometimes, but I go by the mantra, 'everypony has some good in them'."

 

"Anala, for instance," he said. "She can be kinda short-tempered, and even a little... uh, selfish. But I know that she has a softer, sweeter side to her. As I spent more and more time with her, she began to show it. I guess she doesn't like being seen as weak."

"Oh so she's traveling now?" Storm asked, tilting his head. "I remember when I met her, I was traveling from town to town all over Equestria while searching for my Cutie Mark..." He began with a smile. "I met her in one of them, and she seemed pretty sad at the time.... I was in that particular town for about a week.." Storm remembered fondly.

 

 "I was walking around the town, and noticed a unicorn crying by one of the fountains... I went over to see what was wrong, and tried to cheer her up..." He told the others, "I showed her some magic tricks, which cheered, shocked, and interested her because I wasn't a unicorn..." Storm paused to chuckle, remembering the look on the unicorn's face.

 

"Almost every day that I was there, she would find me around town and ask me to show her some more. I was always happy to show her more tricks, since it always cause her face to light up in joy.... Eventually though, I had to leave the town.. I made sure to show her a few more tricks, and even taught her a few before I left..." He said, finishing his story. "I always did wonder how things went for her after I left..."

"Oh, believe me, Riley." Apple Bloom rolled her eyes. "I've been tryin' to see some good in Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon in a dog's age. I wish I knew why they keep bullying us. Trixie at least was quick to forgive."

 

"I may have heard of Trixie coming into Manehattan," Babs said. "I guess I missed her."

 

"She hasn't been to Bucklyn." Sundae shook her head. "Storm, do you think you can introduce us to her sometime?"

"Well, I'd have to find her first..." Storm replied thoughtfully, tapping a hoof to his chin. "But if she still remembers me, I'd be happy to introduce you to her!" He continued with a happy smile. "Hey dad, how come you never told me about you knowing Trixie?" Grey asked, poking Storm's leg. "Well, it hasn't come up until now and you never asked..." Storm said, ruffling his mane with a chuckle. "Daa~d.." Grey complained, fixing his mane.

Sundae chuckled at the exchange Storm shared with his son. "Don't worry, Grey. My dad's like that too, sometimes. I asked him where babies came from and he gave me a story about how me and my brother were almost born on a streetcar."

 

"What else is there?" Apple Bloom asked, changing the subject. "We could be Cutie Mark Crusader Synchronized Swimmers or Chemists or Ghost Hunters!"

 

"How about Butterfly Hunters instead?" Brownie insisted, trying to hide his willies.

Pinkie giggled, "How about Butterfly Ghost Hunters?" She asked, "I mean just think about all those poor little butterfly ghosties who couldn't find peace and are simply fluttering around sadly...." Pinkie explained. Storm chuckled, "Also, I think it would be best to leave chemistry alone for a bit, until you actually have somepony to teach yo the do's and don't's...." He informed Applebloom. "Twilight maybe..." Storm said thoughtfully, "Ooo~  Why don't you do it Stormy?" Pinkie suggested, "Hey, yeah! Why don't you teach us dad? I mean... I've seen Twilight ask you about some odd stuff and one time it was about chemistry, so you must know something, right?" Grey exclaimed, excitedly. Storm chuckled nervously, waving a hoof dismissively, "I don't think I'd make a very good teacher..."

Grey stepped over and gently attempted to turn him so he was actually facing the others, "I think that sounds like a great idea Oneway..." He told the blind pegasus cheerfully, "What do you guys think?" He asked, addressing the rest of the group. "Sounds like a sound idea to me!" Storm replied, "Me too!" Pinkie exclaimed happily. "Sure!" Scootaloo said, smiling.

"Great idea, One Way!" said Riley. "Anypony here good at video games? We could play my Super Neighte- wait. It's back in Manehattan."

 

Just then, a cardboard-coloured unicorn stallion walked by. "Hi! I'm Plot Device! I couldn't help but notice that you seem like you need the assistance of magic! Is that so?" he asked Riley.

 

'Well, that was convenient,' thought Riley. "Uh, yes please. Can you teleport me to Manehattan and back?"

 

Plot Device lit his horn and the two stallions disappeared.

They reappeared, and Riley was holding his SNES. "Thanks!"

 

"Anytime!" Plot left.

"Cool!" Storm exclaimed, "I used to have a Super Neightendo, but I think it got lost in one of my boxes somewhere..." He mused aloud, tapping a hoof against his chin. "But I do have this!" Storm pulled a cube from under one of his wings. "My personal Neightendo Gamebox!" He smiled, "I really like playing Megamon: Shadows of Nightmare...."

"Oh. I do believe I have heard of that game somewhere. Perhaps we could try it out sometime?" said Riley. "I have quite an assortment of games for the Super Neightendo and GameColt. Ponio, Pokémane, Zeldock, Maretroid, Final Foaltasy..." He continued rattling off names.

"Sounds like fun!" Storm agreed, "And that certainly is quite the expansive collection of neightendo games..." He complimented with a nod of respect. "Wowee! How long did it take to get all those?!?" Pinkie asked in surprise, not expecting the large list. "You must really like Neightendo!"

"Hey, Storm, Riley" Brown called to the adults. "Maybe you can come over our house. Our parents have an original Neightendo Entertainment System. They let us play all their old games like Mareio Sisters and Mike Hayson's Hoof Out!!"

 

"It even survived when our dad threw it out a third story window," Sundae said. "He was playing this really hard game called Ghosts 'n' Griffons."

Suddenly Blitz could be seen running with great speed towards them. Or well, great speed considering her size that was, and as usual when she ran too fast she wasn't able to stop herself that quickly again so she stopped up near Storm and everypony else, then missed by a few feet and just missed a trash can before she was stationary again with a trail in the ground from where she had put her hooves down.

 

"Ehehe, hi again."

 

She shook of some dirt on her and looked at them all again, although... It looked like there was a little less now? Oh well, perhaps somepony had to take the train back or something. Or she had counted wrong. One or the other, or something third. Many options.

 

"Was Really lucky. Got home and I got a visit from a friend that said he'd help me get a crate of goodies back to town! I gathered a lot of fun stuff real fast and got him to drop it off at the clubhouse. Hope that's okay Apple Bloom?"

 

Blitz looked at the country filly with big eyes and a grin that threatened to split her face in two, then looked over at Storm.

 

"Oh, and he said to say hi to you Storm. Briar was going to help Applejack with something on the farm when he dropped it off so he couldn't say it himself. Something with bugs I bet."

 

The plant pony Briar had been active in the area the past month or so with helping where he was needed. On the Apple Acres he had been useful for the family in dealing with a few bug problems they had recently, as well as manual labour at times when they were busy so it was not unusual for him to be there, though he had many strings that pulled in him during the day in and around town. He enjoyed being helpful though, so wasn't a bother, but he did wish he would have had the time to have greeted Storm Shine himself.

 

"So, have anypony got an idea to get their cutie mark? Curious!"

 

Blitz jumped a little on the spot whilst looking them all over. She must have missed a lot of chatter, but hopefully everything was a-okay and she hadn't missed it all.

Storm and Pinkie wasted no time in pulling Blitz into group huggles, "Hey Blitz/Hiya Blitzy Welcome back!" They chirped with smiles. "Glad to hear that Briar is doing well.." Storm commented after he and Pinkie had put Blitz back on the ground. "We've all been just kinda siting around chatting and pranking and... uhm... chatting!" Pinkie informed the filly with a wide grin. "Yep, eight pages of just about nothing important..." Storm chipped in with a small pout. Pinkie quickly elbowed Storm in the side, and he let out a small 'Oof'. "Shh! We're not supposed to talk about the wall, remember?!" She whispered frantically. "Oh, uh... Yeah, I forgot.. Sorry Pinkie.." Storm replied sheepishly, rubbing a hoof against the back of his head.

"Oh, horseapples!" Apple Bloom cursed. "Guess the pest problem at our farm is worse than we thought."

 

"Now, there's something we can do!" Sundae exclaimed. "Apple Bloom, we can take care of the bugs on your farm! Maybe we'll get our cutie marks in pest control."

 

"We can?" Brownie looked at his sister funny.

"Oooh, that's a Good idea! I bet Applejack would like the help in chasing off the nasty bugs."

 

Blitz hadn't been deaf to what Storm and Pinkie had said after putting her down on the ground again, but she didn't know what to say to them about that wall they talked about. She'd heard Pinkie say it a few times before, but... So far she didn't really have a clue about all the ins and outs of what it meant.

 

Before she could think more about it a small light went off in her head and she turned her head to talk to Apple Bloom.

 

"And I know, I know. No explosives on the farm, no worries."

 

Applejack had told her that a few times before, just in case, so she knew not to go overkill like that since it might damage the Apple Acres. Still, Apple Bloom miiiiight not be sure she could remember it, so just to be on the safe side she might as well say it.

"Explosives. Why do you have explosives? Seriously, you all have issues or something. Scary ponies. Well, I might like the sound, but they send out shock waves so I had better walk and if you set any off, one of you will need to walk with meme most likely as smudge will probably pass on going. As far as exterminating pests? Do I meed to see?" He says, for once looking I'm the right direction.

Pinkie giggled at the idea of Blitz not using explosives, "You know, you could make a smoke bomb, an put some pesty-pestly-pest repellent stuffs in it..." Storm thoughtfully suggested to the explosive prone filly.

"It's her special talent, she makes explosives. Partially cause it's fun, and partially because... Umm.. Okay probably mostly because it's fun for her to make and really fun to see when they go off...." Storm chuckled.

"Mostly I just make fireworks, but explosives are totally useful to! Clearing rocks, making caves, scaring of Timberwolves and more and more things. I bet that one day, I'm gonna be able to use explosives to do something Really important."

 

Blitz giggled at the thought of one day be cheered on for a really special explosive, but not with an idea of what kind it would be just yet. But in time, it would come, she was sure of it.

 

"I have Loads of smoke bombs, but not with anything against bugs... Hmm..."

 

She sat down and bumped her hoof on her head with closed eyes a few times to try and get the thinker to work in a new direction. Then suddenly, her eyes went up and a mischievous grin slowly spread on her face.

 

"Ehehehehe... I think I can make something that'll work, I just need.... Oh."

 

The grin withered on her face and she was almost starting to look sad before she perked up again.

 

"Hehe, forgot I ran out of that. Oh well, I bet there's lot's of other ways we can do this."

 

Blitz went over and scratched the blind colts head with her own for a second or so.

 

"I bet there's something you can use there too. No fire, I swear okay?"
