I don't see why some people think I'm such a metal elitists. I like other music that isn't metal. I like to chill and listen to some My Bloody Valentine every once in while.

You have the Nirvana smiley face in your sig, that's an obvious pointer that you're not a metal purist, and also that's the first time I've ever heard a My Bloody Valentine song, it actually sounded pretty good.

Oh but it doesn't end there, I really like the Pixies too.

And I really like The Smiths too. They're one of my favorite bands ever.

Because you always seem to put down any other type of music and the people who listen to it ;)

Rush's newest album was pretty good. I got it for my father for Christmas and he still listens to it. Nothing will ever beat good ol' fashioned Rush but Clockwork Angels was definitely better than most of the stuff they've released over the past couple good amount of years.

Also, it's a concept album which automatically makes it good c:

Well, it's not my fault some people don't like Destruction and Barnes-era Cannibal Corpse.angry.png

So guys, how about some Social Distortion? Good old-skool SoCal punk.

Well, it's not my fault I happen to like My Chemical Romance. Apparently I'm a poser?

But enough with that. Van Halen, man. Eddie's one of the best guitarists in rock music.

Their newest album wasn't half bad either, but it didn't seem all that Van Halen to me.

Still good stuff.

Yea, and I like Fugazi. They're considered one of the founders emo and post-hardcore. There I said it, I like a post-hardcore band.

But they don't sound anything like the sh*t that's considered "post-hardcore" nowadays.

Since I'm pretty sure that the Incubus song that I had posted was ignored, I'll leave another song by them on here, because Morning View is a really amazing album

So, never posted here before. Have a very good Rise Against song that gets overlooked a lot in my opinion.

And here's a song that I've become addicted to :). It kind of picks me up a bit.

I still haven't listened to Clockwork Angels other than a couple songs.

I liked the album Snakes and Arrows, but Rush honestly hasn't had a really good album since the early 80s, at least in my opinion. Although there are a few songs in the 90s such as "Dreamline" that I really like.

Speaking of Rush, this song is so fucking awesome:

Not enough Offspring songs in this thread. I'll fix that!

Oh and it needs some Bad Religion too

Anybody here like bands like them?

I haven't heard that Offspring song you posted, but I like some Offspring songs. My favorite is "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid".

Also, I haven't really listened to Bad Religion, but I've heard they are really good.

It's from Ixnay on the Hombre, one of their best albums. I love the Offspring and I've probably spent over £300 in the last few months on band merch XD

Bad Religion are great, you should listen to them!

Also, Pennywise

I feel in the mood for some Post-Rock, so Mogwai it is

And also some Radiohead, because they are the greatest rock band out there

Bad Religion are actually quite an awesome band I would definitely recommend them.

Damn, I'm listening to "The Unraveling" by Rise Against right now and it's really cool, but I don't have the money to buy it right now. Plus there's a couple other albums I want to get first :/

In other news...

Two of my favorite vocalists in one song?!?!?!?! This is seriously the greatest thing ever. The song isn't the best in the world, but still. The vocalists from two of my favorite bands in one song???? That's pretty awesome.

Ok... This song is amazing that you're about to see. And I know what you're already thinking though. Chad Kroeger? Nickelback? Really?

First of all, this song is actually Santana Vevo, so Santana pretty much owns the song. 2nd I'm sure a lot of people hate Nickelback and even as soon as they hear the name, they ignore it right away. But this song is worth listening to. It has a great solo and a catchy riff to boot. give it a listen, you won't be disappointed.

Also this song is why i want a prs guitar as well as why I appreciate spanish people more lol Edited by Blue lightning

I need to say this, in case I haven't said it before...

I absolutely despise Nickelback. It's the one band that I just absolutely cannot stand listening to. I really don't like Chad Kroeger either.

One of my friends said it's a good song though, and I listened to it and it was okay.

This thread seems to need a little "umph" and what better way to do it than the most electrifying band of all time, AC/DC?

Enjoy head-banging at light speed.

So yeah I love Punk Rock a lot too. This is a band from back in the early 2000s known best for their songs being featured in awesome classic games such as: Tony hawks underground 1 & 2 A.K.A. THUG 1 & 2, Burnout 3: Takedown one of my all time favorite racing games, and Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition. Throughout the years of 2004-2005 these games made their release. And now I have gotten into this band sad to know they broke up in 2007 :(....

Ooooohhh yay Grunge time, here's my favorite Pearl Jam song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfhsRIDh1RQ

And also Alice In Chains, because they're really good as well, one of their under rated songs, but good ones

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpmHg00Z_9k

Yes, I so agree. Acid Bubble is extremely underrated and of the best Alice in Chains songs. But it's a shame that Staley didn't sing it (Got nothing against Will, he is awesome, but Staley is a legend)

I never got much into grunge, I only know like a couple Nirvana songs and like a Soundgarden song and that's pretty much it really lol

You really should listen more to it. It's a freaking awesome genre

MOAR GRUNGE angry.png

My favorite Nirvana song ^^

One of the most powerful Grunge songs in my opinion. It's about a student called Jeremy who committed suicide in front of his class
