After the failure of Ghosts, I have been uncertain about purchasing AW. Many people have noted that AW is actually decently optimized for PC very unlike Ghosts. Despite this, there are still mixed opinions on the games at least according to Steam reviews. For me, I will either not buy the game or buy the Digital Pro Edition when it will [probably] be on sale during Steam winter sale. Is it worth buying? So far I enjoyed every COD games I have played except Ghosts.

Preferably, I would like to get answers from people who have played the PC version of the game and note how stable it is. To me, it seems like there's enough new features for the game to be interesting.

Some things I'm particularly interested in knowing are:
-Lag compensation: Not sure if this is the correct term but in Ghosts, it would take about a half second to kill someone but you would die almost instantly after you take damage (you usually don't get enough time to react to avoid damage). Is this issue fixed in AW?
-Connection issues: Some have reported having mostly no problems while others have said there is quite a bit of problems. One person explained to me that a patch that was released fixed the issue. Is this true?
-What is playerbase size/how active are players?
-How much stuttering do you notice if at all?

-How much of an issue is hacking?

If you want to go ahead. I haven't played Advanced Warfare myself because I lost interest in Call of Duty around the time Ghosts was released. But, it might just be the same thing again because all Call of Duty games are pretty much the same game just with a couple new things put in.

One phrase, anyone from Bo2 will know this:

- Migrating Host -

Also snipers be bugged so that when you aim in and aim out, the bullet hits dead centre of the screen, whether you moved, turned reloaded or went to prone. I think it was fixed but I returned the game and got something decent instead.

That was just the way ghosts was designed, it wasn't lag. You actually died in about 2 bullets of any gun.

I swear it feels longer to kill someone than dying. At least that was the case for PC; not sure if it is/was the same for console players.

personally its not worth buying in general

Explanation?

That's not my primary concern; my primary concern is how stable the game is for PC.

Currently, I had no problems with the stability of playing online. There is no player counter, so at the multiplayer menu, I can't even tell how many are playing. The only way how is by going on a game mode and then it'll show how many matches are currently going on and when you are joining a lobby.

When it comes to the game in general, if you ask me, it's far better than Ghosts imo! Sledgehammer Games really did it right (Thanks to their 3 Year development time advantage). It's just as fun as Blops 2. The Exo-Suits also make the gameplay more fast-paced than it already was! :D

Basically, Sledgehammer Games made Call of Duty fun again with Advanced Warfare. :)

It's just as fun as Blops 2.

Considering how much time I have invested in that game, if AW is indeed much like BOII then the game seems to be promising.

Indeed it is. :) The campaign is also pretty decent. Not as great as Blops 2's, but it is worth a play through. The cinematic cutscenes were done very well (Kevin Spacey and Troy Baker are a few famous actors who voice act some of the main characters!)!

Again for the multiplayer, the gameplay pace is much faster than the previous COD games thanks to the Exo-Suit (all players get to use the Exo-suit at the start). For those who want to play it without the suits, there are the classic game modes for those who want that play method.

Ive played advanced warfare for the consoles day one of its release and its better than pc in my opinion.

It won't be perfect until they release updates and patch up some errors here and there (for the multiplayer aspect anyway)

but its a work in progress.

as for answering your questions

Lag Compensation: No this problem isn't fixed and its the same in all the previous cods

(unless they invest in dedicated servers in the near future)

Connection Issues: Connection is based off your isp (internet service provider) for example: If two people were to join a public match one person can have amazing connection and experience no lag at all. While the other one hits constant lag spikes and has a chance of disconnecting from the game. Also no, I have not heard of any updates regarding connection issues being fixed.

What is player base size/how active are players: Theres different numbers on each console but more specifically on the pc I would say there is a good amount of active players.

How much stuttering do you notice if at all: It really depends on your pc, I personally never experienced any stuttering when I had the game for the pc.

How much of an issue is hacking: There are always going to be hackers no matter where you are but I wouldn't worry about hackers just yet being that the game is brand new. Usually you would find hackers on the older call of duties such as cod 4, world at war, Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a step up for PC, Ghosts was absolutely TRASH on it and on consoles. I think we can all agree Ghosts is the worst installment in the franchise however AW is really different and a change to the formula I've only played about 40 mins on PC and it's really hard especially with the addition of new mechanics but it's up there with BO2.

The campaign is definitely worth the purchase and Exo-Survival to an extent although I'm not entirely sure about multiplayer but it's great on the PS4 and Xbox One, it's a lot of fun and really competitive.

-How does lag compensation compare to that of BOII? If it's similar or better then I will be fine with it.

-I was not sure if the reported connection issue was a problem with the game itself or just the individual's connection.

-I have a fairly high-end PC (i7 4770K, GTX 670, 8GB RAM) so if the game is indeed well optimized, I shouldn't have any issue running the game.

-People have reported a notable number of hackers, but considering the playerbase I'm not sure if it's a legitimate issue or if it's just people falsely hackusing everyone as usual.

I changed the poll so that the information from it would be more helpful to me than a vague yes or no poll.

-Compared to BO2, the lag compensation is the same as AW

-No its based off the individuals connection

-As long as you have a good pc, you'll be fine

-There are hacks that were released the very day the game was released but they were quickly  patched and it shouldn't really be a problem as of now because the game is brand new (Thats probably the reports you heard about)

Haven't played AW yet(and I don't game on PC, or at least at the moment), but I've actually heard that the PC version of the game was actually handled pretty well. As for the game itself, as I said earlier I haven't played it yet, but I heard it was better than both Ghosts and BOII(the latter which I think says a lot since I really enjoyed Blops II)

My general opinion of the series has been mixed since MW2, MW2 included since I didn't really care for it either, I enjoyed both Black Ops, didn't like MW3 and am afraid to try Ghosts

I have had fun with it. Its a very new refreshing CoD. I'd recommend it. No dedicated servers but I remember reading they will add them soon. game itself is just fun. Im sure if it didn't have Call of duty in its title it would have higher ratings but you know how most people are "OH MUH GOD CoD IS TEH SUXXORS". Its a fun game and thats what I think matters most in a game.
