DJPON-3-#Power11 78 January 7, 2015 #1 Share January 7, 2015 ok so i took a lot of time thinking about this. should there be a college for mlp lovers? LET THE DEBATE BEEGIN!!! love is like a song to me. when you love that song you wanna listen to it every day over and over. there always something more to learn form that song. but when theres marriage that is a song made by two in matrimony. a song hand crafted in a harmonious tune only the two will truly understand and love for eternity. Elegron 168 January 7, 2015 #2 Share January 7, 2015 no. not that much money would be used on a college and overall, nobody would do it. however colleges should have brony groups. 3 Act before you have the presence of mind to second-guess yourself. DJPON-3-#Power11 78 January 7, 2015 Author #3 Share January 7, 2015 ok ok. but what about brony clubs in college? that would be awesomes having brony lovers club in college. we could talk about a lot of things. 2 love is like a song to me. when you love that song you wanna listen to it every day over and over. there always something more to learn form that song. but when theres marriage that is a song made by two in matrimony. a song hand crafted in a harmonious tune only the two will truly understand and love for eternity. Invincible 2,092 January 7, 2015 #4 Share January 7, 2015 How would that even work? My thoughts are; First of all, you'd need it to produce some sort of academic value or people would consider it's education as worthless. Plus, how many MLP loving professors and teachers can you find? You'd need reliable, skilled people to teach students, after all. Lastly, will only MLP fans be allowed to apply? That one would cripple income and serve as a detriment to others, telling them to stay away from the college. 4 My OCs for Roleplay purposes: o Lit Fuse (http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/lit-fuse-r6608) o Dust Devil (http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/dust-devil-r7357)
Shadowking58 1,137 January 7, 2015 #5 Share January 7, 2015 If there was an MLP college I would pass it with flying colors, I know alot about My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, so it'd be easy. 1 All My OCS Quote “The only time a lawyer can cry is when it's all over." Simon 4,557 January 7, 2015 #6 Share January 7, 2015 Since this topic deals with discussing the fandom, it is more suited towards Sugarcube Corner and has been moved. Keep in mind in the future, General Discussion, Debate Pit, and Media Discussion are reserved for topics not having to do with My Little Pony or the fandom. Any topic discussing the fandom or MLP should go in the appropriate section in MLP:FiM. Thanks!
Ziltoid the Omniscient 286 January 7, 2015 #7 Share January 7, 2015 I...think this idea is pretty dumb for it to just be centered around mlp. A cartoon college however would be a cool idea. We could call it ACME University! But they already have schools like that. Art/Flim/Game/Animation schools, but if the schools offer a history course, voice acting courses, and stuff like that and im sure they do. Then that's pretty cool. Heh. I guess they do have classes like that. http://www.regent.edu/acad/undergrad/academics/degree/communication/animation_req.cfm http://www.sva.edu/continuing-education/animation/related-courses

legionbrony 107 January 7, 2015 #9 Share January 7, 2015 Um...well an MLP club is a fine idea. MLP College doesn't make sense academically or financially for the students or the people founding the thing. “What surprises me most? Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.” -The Dalai Lama
Shanks 10,816 January 7, 2015 #10 Share January 7, 2015 It would take quite a lot of time and money to do something like that and what practical purpose would it fulfill that a simple brony group/club couldn't? Rarity Get's Cockroaches
chirox the pony 1,336 January 7, 2015 #11 Share January 7, 2015 How about no, I don't think a college for any specific group is a good idea. 2 No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me.
Kapitan zur See Hans (Daz) 883 January 7, 2015 #12 Share January 7, 2015 Not a chance even though I would absolutely love it, but there are clubs at most universities for mlp, hell I just found out the other day there is one at the college I will be going to next semester. Scootaloodle 1,623 January 7, 2015 #18 Share January 7, 2015 I don't see how that would work, a whole college devoted to a toy line and cartoon show? Nah Still a fan club for MLP in a college would be cool

Midnight_Aurora 571 January 7, 2015 #21 Share January 7, 2015 To be honest a club for bronies is all we really need. But a school to learn vocations in a more mlp based way might not be so bad.
Larkybird~ 734 January 7, 2015 #22 Share January 7, 2015 A brony college? Lolwut? To put it nicely, that's a terrible idea. And it makes no sense. Why on earth would you want a brony college? Where would the funding to make it come from? What courses would it teach? You can't just suggest this stuff and say nothing else about it aside from "brony college". It's confusing. A club for bronies in colleges sounds...iffy to me,tbh. :/ http://i.imgur.com/1m3V4im.jpg ^full sized avatar picture there

[NULL] 906 January 7, 2015 #24 Share January 7, 2015 Look, I like the show, and I think that it's great that there are dignified shows for young girls now, but IT'S JUST A SHOW!! Jesus Christ, why is it that people seem to want to make the world a utopia centered around MLP? First a Brony country, a Brony state, now a Brony college? Why? Seriously, I haven't seen any other fandoms that want to make the world centered around their interest before. People are always talking about the cruelty of the world, and how Equestria, or a world ruled by bronies would be a better place. It's not! Conflict will always exist. People will always have conflicting ideologies, even if they all somehow one day lived in the same nation, and that's life. How else are people supposed to grow and learn if they strive for a world where everything is handed to them?
Henny Penny Benny 936 January 7, 2015 #25 Share January 7, 2015 I vote NO on Proposition Number This. Much as I enjoy adorable, pastel-colored ponies, they are pure fiction. Education should be grounded in reality, not fantasy.
