Nope, why waste $20 just to look at a movie and leave if it's bad? I don't like that.

Well, the thing is, you've paid the money already. Staying til the end of the movie doesn't mean you'll get anything back, nor does leaving the movie halfway through cost you any more. So why stay and be miserable watching a movie you are suffering from watching?

Yes, the movie was 'Twilight'...

:eww:

Luckily I was working at the theatre at the time so the admission for me and my friend was free. But it was still terrible nonetheless.

I presume you mean the Jim Carrey version?

Yes. I liked the cartoon just fine. It may just be that I don't like Jim Carey  as an actor. I do grant that he did a wonderful job as the voice of Ebeneezer Scrooge in the Disney 2009 version of "A Christmas Carol". I think that's mainly because he wasn't allowed to ad-lib or run crazy with the dialog.

I have once walked out of a bad film, but it was so long ago I've forgotten what film it was.

This is known as the "sunk costs fallacy". You've invested a certain amount of time/money/energy into an endeavour, and even though you can't see it possibly turning out well, you continue to invest in it to justify your initial outlay.

Only two times, one was with Chicken Little. The movie was so unfunny and mean spirited that it actually started making me feel uncomfortable. The second time was with Doogal, which got under my skin with endless pop culture references.

No I haven't, normally I'd only watch movies I know I'll enjoy.

That said I could see myself walking out on something like Twilight or The Last Airbender :o

No but some of them I wish I did. Especially Les Miserables, not only was it way too long but it got to the point where I didn't even understand what was going on.My mom didn't like it either so idk why we couldn't of left.

Well, I've walked out of every movie I've gone to eventually, as they frown on you staying much past the credits. :P

But other than that, the only time this came close to happening was the last time I went to a theater, which was to see the Simpsons movie with a friend, who had paid for my ticket.

Have you ever went to the movies and saw a film that made you end up walking out on mid-film? I can't say that I have yet, but I did come close to walking out on Shrek the Third.

Not yet, I've been forcibly removed from one before, but that's because i dropped a bucket of popcorn and they thought i was drunk.

Nope. Never done that. I don't even exit the movie theater just to go to the bathroom or get something from the concession stand. I don't wanna miss a scene from a movie I'm seeing for the first time.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

Paranormal activity 4, friends made me go see it with them. I'm not a fan of horror movies anyways because I find them stupid, but oh my god that movie is bad. So I left like 20 minutes before the movie ended and got my money back for it.
