Let me try a shot at this.

 

About 70% of this forum is male. Of that 70%, roughly 70% is single. Of those guys who are single, roughly 70% would be open to the idea of a relationship. I'm just guessing on the exact numbers, but it seems about right. That correlates to about one in three members being a potential option for the OP.

 

If you're a girl who wants a special somepony, all you really have to do is exist.

Yeah, I'm single too, and I hate it too, but it's because of that obvious fact above that I didn't even mention it in my first post. Because it's so easy to find a single guy to be your special somepony, whenever someone asks for it, I can't help but see it as being... I dunno, a little phishy.

 

Normally my base instincts would tell me to pounce on such an opportunity, but I just kinda have this "I have a bad feeling about this" type of feeling going on. I want a special somepony too, but there's a whole load of complications that go along with that, and I'd never take any such actions without getting to know the person on at least a superficial level first.
