1st and 3rd are the most common. 2nd person stories are rare, probably because they are tricky to pull off. You actually pull your audience into your own story so the details about the protagonist have to be limited.

That's what made this fic such a treat; 2nd person is notoriously difficult to pull off and most people are terrible at it.  Good ol' Yoshi, here, however managed to make one that actually worked!
