gaming Splatoon Thread

So I'm really anticipating the new Wii U game coming out called Splatoon. I think the concept of Splatoon is really neat where you use colored paint to mark territory. I think it's very interesting and cool and I really want to play that. I usually don't care for shooter games but this one catches my eye. This is my most anticipated game at the moment. It comes out May 29th which is the same day I graduate from High School. So this will probably be a great game to play over the summer.

I'm actually kind of meh on the whole thing.

If they can offer a strong singleplayer mode, then yes. It probably is, but I'll wait until launch. It just seems as if the multiplayer is what's getting marketed.

It doesn't really appeal to me at all, but multiple reviewers are saying it's an amazing game and a must have for any wii u collection, so if they ever put out a demo i'll give it a try, otherwise i don't think i have much reason to get it

I started playing, and I've enjoyed it. The ink mechanic reminds me of the water mechanic from Mario Sunshine. I feel like this is the kind of game the industry needed.

Am I the only one that wants more variety from the Splattershot Jr.? So far that and the Splat Roller are my best weapons, but There aren't many other versions of the SS Jr. from what I've seen... Which disappoints me because I REALLY like that weapon!

It really is enjoyable! Something different than what is already out there.

I recently got the game and it's pretty enjoyable. It's kind of like Nintendo's answer to games like TF2. The gameplay is wild and crazy and the music has a very 90s skater feel to it.

 

The only problem I will say is the game lacks a voice chat system. It would kind of make the game more unique if it had one of those.

Yeah it being sold on the multiplayer strictly which may mean they maybe pulling a Metroid Prime Hunters punch. Hopefully it doesn't and the story and Multiplayer balances out 50/50. I do hope the story is strong and not too heavily focused on Multiplayer.

 

I am personally looking forward to this myself. It could prove to be a fun game. Not to mention all the hype behind it, following after Silent Hills. Hopefully we get a bang for our buck, if not then it would be a wasted investment in the general marketing standpoint. Game Fly that sh*t!!

I only got to play the Global Testfire, but I should be able to get the money to buy the game proper in a couple weeks.

I'm getting this game of Gamefly pretty soon. Once I get my hands on it, I'm playing it. It looks like loads of fun. Hell, Newgrounds already has a parody or two for it. Not to mention that there obvious is art starting to unload with game being out for a short while now. This is one sensation phenomenon I want to be apart of if I can.

 

Hell I have Dragonball Xenoverse! Why give a sh*t now?!

This game looks really unique and it reminds a lot of Super Mario Sunshine for certain reasons. A very colorful looking game that's for sure. I hope it turns out to be a great game though because it sure does looks like it.
