I used acrylic paint on a canvas panel. Sketched out the idea on watercolor paper and then redrew onto the panel with orange colored pencil. Then went at it.

 

I really wanna get oil paints and work with those sometime though. Maybe do Tirek in oils sometime in the future

Coincidentally, I bought me some acrylic paint for a project. $9 is pretty cheap for a lot of acrylic paint, I say, cute little jars! Anyways, when i'm done with the project, I plan on trying to paint with it as well. As a hobby. xD

His expression really sells this piece I feel. I was interested in your stuff after you

That's an awesome portrait! The swirl background really helps accent it, as well as fit discord's mayhem personality. Good blend into the wing too.
