Which pony is the most popular, within the show's target audience?

I try to ask that question to my friends, who don't watch MLP, and they told me that the "purple pony" (Twilight) is the most popular. So it confirms my opinion; Twilight is the most popular pony, I think, because she is in the center of the show.

There was a study on this and I think it was Hasbro that did it to determine which pony should get the most attention in sales and it was Twilight Sparkle.

 

In terms of bronies it was usually Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle at the top.

Even though I do not see much of the children liking MLP (Most of them are into Frozen now.) I think that the children would like Twilight Sparkle because the children love princesses. A bit like the fillies and colts from Cheerilee's school like Twilight in the episode Twilight Time.
