I WILL NOT START DOING ANYTHING UNTIL MONDAY/TUESDAY, AS I'M LEAVING HOME FOR THE WEEKEND.



I'm still not sure if it's a good idea, but #YOLO, as in Yeti Overlords Love Oreos.


Following the principle that:

...I've decided to finally start this thread.


Do note, however, that this thread will mainly serve my own purposes.


I'm starting this thread to play around with Photoshop and experiment with it, possibly discovering and learning functions that might yield some new, interesting results. Or maybe just strengthening my knowledge about stuff I know already. Who knows?

I'll probably be downloading new fonts and brushes on my own, but if situation requires it I might want to create my own brush if I deemed it would be necessary to create something satisfactory.

As with most request threads, this will also consist of a number of rules, but since my time to work on things of such minor importance is very limited, these rules will be a bit more restrictive.

Zhe Initial Rules (subject to change):

  • I will NOT attempt to fulfill every single request. In fact, the thread is not "first come, first serve". I will pick the requests on my own, based on how interesting/appealing they sound to me.
  • I'm limiting myself to holding only three (3) active slots for now. Reason being that I'm rusty with my PS and I really need to step up with the game, but it may take me some time. Especially redesigning and recreating the macroactions I've lost along with my old PC. And, more importantly, I have quite limited time to spare for this.
  • Expect that any materials (or details) you provide me with may be altered (colors, dimensions, anything) at my leisure. Of course, I will most likely try to avoid it like wildfire, and if it happens I'll have very, but very good reasons for it, so you shouldn't be all that much worried.
  • I am NOT an artist, by any means. Therefore I will not be able to fill out any missing parts of the images you provide me with. Most probably, I'll inform you of any issues I have with the image and the extent I'm able to work with it right away.
  • I tend to have my own views on aesthetics and not only. It may happen that due to my inner beliefs, I'll alter your request a bit and add a few more, maybe minor, details that in my eyes will make the sig look a bit better.
  • PATIENCE. And once more PATIENCE. This thread isn't for people who need a signature done "right away". As I've mentioned, I have more important priorities in my life and signature creating is just one of ways to relax for me.
As for the sigs themselves, I'm willing to treat the signatures as if they were my own, therefore I'll try to put as much love into them as I'd put in my own sigs. However, do keep in mind that the end results may wary even in spite of me doing my best to meet the expectations. Even I have patience that may eventually run out :/ And PS is wonderful at draining it.

As for the sig examples... you won't get that many I fear. I never really bothered to keep an archive of my signatures. The first example is right below this post, in my own signature field. (yes, I am willing to play with masks if you want me to, as I adore using this tool. However, I still have to learn a lot about it, especially in the field of custom shapes)


The second example I could provide is probably the last one:

Now what do I need to know, hm...

Template...:

Size: Obviously, the forums use the 600x100/600x200 sizes, however that doesn't mean I'm willing to work only with these.
Colors: I'll do my best to work with every colors palette... Even if my inner Rarity will want to murder me for that.
Background: The most important part of any sig. Intricate? Simple? Minimalism or abundance of effects? I can do a lot in this field, however there's also a lot of stuff I yet have to discover. However, brushes and filters always leave a field to experiment, I guess?
Text: If you want any, I'd be glad if you provided me with any details. Top-down? Wavy? Font style (general description like rough, fancy, digital, sturdy, etc [although, I may change it if I deem it does not fit the image])?
Details: Self-explanatory field... The less, the better though.
Images (USE SPOILER TAGS): Obviously, most of the time you'll want an image to accompany your sig. Or maybe you'll want an image to accompany your sig on the background of a different image. While vectors are obviously an easy way out, I can also work on rasters. However remember that resizing rasters is a tricky deal, as its impossible to retain their quality while enlarging them.
Based on how intricate the background of the silhouette I have to work with will be, I may refuse to work with the image. But I'll only do so after attempting working with it at least once.

I will work with anything for the time being, be it ponies, anime characters, cars, elephants, whatevers.

Once the slots in question are finished, I will disregard any previous requests and you'll have to reapply once more after I'm done with the last one. I will also ignore any requests made while the slots are already preoccupied.

That being said, if this thread somehow reaches 2nd page without me responding to it, I'd like to ask the mods to lock it instantly, so I don't get a headache after my return :l

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to request a signature that does Fleur some justice! .... No i am not talking about myself like a conceited personΒ  :lol:Β  I am talking about the character! ^_^ She really doesn't have enough presence in the brony community, and I feel not nearly as much fan art as she deserves! If you have any questions for me or feel I am asking too much just let me know, I would love to do some feedback for you.

Note: I am leaving notes of feedback throughout the guidelines but I can trim it down to the minimums should you so choose. I also rather threw in various things that could be used as guidelines or suggestions instead of the initial stuff as well. Since I want to give you the freedom to draw what you want, but still kind of voice my opinion as well.

My Opinion on Fleur-De-Lis

I believe Fleur-De-Lis is a beautiful~β™ͺ pony, so showcasing her supermodel figure and her overall beauty seems like something that would really do justice for the character. Though honestly, in my taste I also love silly ponies and tiny ponies :yay:. So i rather threw that into the mix, should you ever feel like using that. (adorable is good too!) I know its all over the place, but think of it this way! You get the flexibility to do whatever you feel like and i'll love it anyways! :lol:

Extra notes:(I wont stifle your creativity, but keep in mind I cant showcase your marvelous work it if it goes past the limits! :squee:

Colors: Things that compliment Fleur-De-Lis's palette.

Extra Notes:I am not much of an artist so I couldn't really tell you what would, so I will leave that decision to you (and it gives you more room for your own taste)

Background: I ornate would be preferable, but really anything that really shows some sort of fancy class (Fleur-De-Lis being a model/high class pony).

Extra Notes: I am thinking some effects thrown in for good measure (Honestly I dont know what that entails but it sounds good!)

Text: Just put Fleur's name on there ...

Extra Notes: I am not quite sure what caps works best with it but basically it would go either "Fleur-De-Lis" or "Fleur-de-lis" hmmm, in what style I am not sure. Something fancy that matches the background sounds nice, but standing out from the ornate background could also work, but maybe something simple and bold would be better because of the contrast? That one I'll leave to your taste as well.

Details: Should really showcase Fleur-De-Lis, either in the spotlight of attention or a character on the side being herself (like your Megurine Luka signature).
