Any ADHD bronies or pegasisters and others alike?

I've come to gather some information and this is the perfect place for that. I have ADHD and the purpose of this post is to find out what living with the condition is like for others. I seem to be delayed and often careless especially in my academic work. I'm now majoring in Physics and math is troubling to me a little. I often have a little difficulty working at it but eventually become okay at it. What about you? Do you often have trouble finding your talent or making your life better? Your information helps my research a lot and thank you.

I have ADHD, i used to take medication for it, as i choose not to as I didnt like what it did to me, ADHD makes it hard to focus on one particular thing, often leaving me to try to focus and think about everything that is on my mind at once, it also makes me easily amused by things and I joke a lot, but its hard to get myself to do any serious work

I was told I had ADHD as a child and I took medicine for it.... turns out I never had it and my mother bribed the doctor.... I'am very calm person.... I always hated that damn medicine.... it made me lose my appetite and I ate very little through out the day..... but it also strengthened my metabolism.....

ADD here (I'm very laidback), as well as auditory processing disorder. Focusing issues are a common problem, but I generally can't recall a conversation within a few minutes after I have finished speaking to someone, which makes a job very difficult. I constantly have to make people repeat themselves, as it is difficult for me to understand what they are saying at times. Makes it worse that I'm also mostly deaf and can barely hear them anyway.

I took Adderall back in the 6th grade, which ultimately helped, but turned me into a drone with slightly violent tendencies. I've been looking into it again, but I'm afraid of the same side effects resurfacing, especially now since I have two children, one of them being a newborn. : /

I used to have ADHD. Army discharged me after graduation from basic for suspicion of ADHD (even though I came in with a waiver for it.), but I went to dive school and graduated just fine. Quit taking meds 5 years ago. Never bothered me.

"I could have been happy above if I'd never donned the copper carapace and dipped my head beneath the waves to hear the muddled man-made sounds. Distorted and dreamlike droning. The whir and thrashing of a distant propeller, the tumultuous thundering thud of fogbound freighters. Mud underfoot, no sights, except the grasp of a diver's trained hand, dreaming of distant lands knowing all the while this is what I love, not the blue skies and wondering faces above. Canvas, rubber, brass, copper, and glass. Leather and lead, mud and sweat, heaving around in dark, damp depths seldom seen by most yet talked about by all. As if a sunny, happy place where mermaids and seahorses play and chests of gold are lain bare, untarnished by salt and time for all to grasp who are bold enough to go below..." -"Deep Sea Diver", Steven L. Waterman

I do not have attention deficit disorder, your disorderly world has a deficit of things worth paying attention to.

I have ADHD and take medication for it.  I feel the meds help relieve the symptoms and give me a better quality of life.  All things considered, ADHD is the least problematic of my mental health issues.

Always had ADHD and quite...I guess proud of it, I like being overly hyper and having a hard time focusing is always fun I guess. I was told I have ADHD at the age of 7 and since then to age 13 I was on medication, I am now 15 and don't need it, it always made me feel bored, annoyed and sleepy so I just stopped taking them on my own choice.
My ability to concentrate is crap to say the least, I can barely hold concentration for more then a minute and I get Hyper very very easy over little things but besides that and my weird attitude I am pretty normal with ADHD. My work goes well though as does my school and I have no trouble getting along in life.

I have mild ADD and I was diagnosed at a young age. I don't have trouble academically, I pay attention in class and I get my work done, however I can be quite shy. It's strange though; I am usually shy at school but when I'm not in school I am outgoing. I guess it's because I feel more comfortable when I'm not with my peers.

I have a really hard time processing things. Sometimes when I hear something, I may not understand it or have no idea how to respond. It gets rather bothersome at times. It used to be a lot worse when I was a kid, but now it doesn't affect me too much.

I have ADhD, (notice it's a little h), and it's sort of like a super power I guess. I can focus to 100 things at once, 1 thing really frickin' well, but anything in between just loses me. To compensate staying focused, I am teaching myself to read people, so I can focus on several things while listening to a conversation, and function properly.

I despise medication, so I forgo it entirely, electing to overcome this disorder on my own strength. With mixed results.

An interesting side effect of my ADhD, I only need 5 or six hours of sleep, and only dream when I sleep more than that. It trashes my memory at times, but it gives me more hours of the day to work with, kinda bittersweet.

I have ADHD. As a kid they threw me on adderall. However, I sacked up and dealt with it like a big boy when I got to high school. Teachers may treat you like a special snowflake but the real world doesn't care. Graduated high school and the EMS academy just fine without meds.

I have ADHD.  Quit aking the meds for it many years ago.  I Honestly believe that if I kept taking them I might have killed myself.  More to the story another time.  bout to hop in the shower.

I love life by the way.  Even pain is a reminder that you are still alive.

Yeah,I have ADHD. It makes it so hard for me to pay attention to difficult and boring things.

Plus,I get bored of fun things fast.

I'm not sure if I've had it since I was born,or if it developed when I turned 13.

I was diagnosed early this year and it was honestly some of the most relieving news I've ever gotten. So much about my life suddenly made sense. I've been working these past few months on learning to manage it with some success, and it should get even better once I'm home this summer and don't have so much going on.

Was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 10. Not on any medication for it, but it comes with everything you'd expect. I've always struggled staying focused, especially in school.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
