An underrated gem known as Legend of Dragoon. Seriously, this game shaped my future tastes in videogames while I was but a wee little noob. There have literally been online petitions for a prequel, sequel, and my personal favorite choice; a remake. it did very well when released in America in 2000, and again when released for the PSN store for PS3. this game was beautifully done in almost every aspect. A compelling story, amazing rendered enviorments, fun gameplay, and who could forget that legendary OST? please sony. There is a demand. We just need a supply.

In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God, hovering above? At least it is true, that man has no control... Even over his own will.

I honestly would never consider Legend of Dragoon underrated. Pretty sure it's one of the most popular RPGs of all time.

We do need something though. I'd be down for a prequel set in the Dragon Campaign.

well, the fact that it is underrated is debatable and I can see that, but with the release of it timed so closely to the ps2, I feel like while it did well, it never reached full potential because of the new console at that time. And yes! They have so much lore, yet left enough of it shrouded so that a prequel would be perfect.

Also, I don't know how you feel, but....

Lavitz> Albert

I didn't have a PS2 until 2010 and no internet until 2008 so that didn't really affect me.

It's been long enough since I played it that I don't really remember much about them but

Lavitz in the Land of the Dead

was a nice encounter.

Gameplay-wise I got so used to Albert due to years of grinding in the final dungeon to beat the game (I was ten, sue me) so when I eventually started replaying the game I couldn't get used to Lavitz' slowness and how different his Additions were from Albert.

System Shock 2 (I know there's BioShock but there was something about SHODAN). That game creeped me out back in high school.

That and maybe Commander Keen  B)

I'd love a remake of this just to make the game more playable. I'm not overly fond of the scattered control scheme or the fact that I need twenty buttons just to play it but maybe I'm just being a whiner cuz I don't like mouse&keyboard.

Dungeon Keeper. I grew up adoring one and two but unfortunately EA bought it and doesn't seem likely a 3rd will be released not counting that cash grab IOS Android game.
There have been some decent playing spiritual successors but it'd be nice to have a proper sequel one day.

Chrono Trigger for the SNES, it was suppose to have a PS1 reboot, but Sqaresoft (at least I think that who was doing the reboot) got bought out, and the project was shelved.

Well pal. You should keep an ear on Square Enix's E3 conference in a few days. :3 They recently put in a teaser to promote their event, humourously pointing out about 6 games in dev not yet revealed. Part of the hype is that apparently the music playing in the background of the teaser was a remix of a song from Chrono Trigger. So yeah. Godspeed.

As for myself, I'd love a reboot of Metal Arms. Such a great game, with so much potential for a sequel.

I would love a reboot of Kya: Dark Lineage. I love it so much, especially when they left all the fans and me on a cliffhanger.  :(

If they released a TIE-Fighter or X-Wing reboot, that would be simply glorious. Destroying the Rebel Scum, one X-wing at a time would be so much more enjoyable in glorious 4K resolution. One Rule though, PC Only.

The kickstarter for Shenmue 3 just got announced less than half an hour ago. I am more than happy right now! :D

They only need $2,000,000, and people have already donated over $500,000 to the cause.

It's already near $1,000,000, Kickstarter ended up crashing. It's insane

It's simply amazing. I have no doubt that this will exceed $2,000,000 by the end of E3. I'm glad Sony announced it. Without their announcement, it most likely wouldn't have got this many people backing it up.

The Paper Mario series. Can we all just pretend the Wii and 3ds versions never happened?

Custom Robo would make me pretty excited too. I really loved the one on the GameCube, it had a great story, funny moments and lots of action with tons of customization. There was the one on the DS, but the series has kind of been dormant since then.

If Square Enix did another Valkyrie Profile game i would be beyond ecstatic because the last one was in 2008 for the DS of all things

True that, I'm not sure how well it would be adaptable to a console. I remember taking quite a few hours to get a key binding that actually was usable.

I just played this game on my PSP. I still need to play the other two but I'd totally be down for a new one. I dunno if it ever will. It seems like the games were always meant to follow one specific storyline. Where can they go from Ragnarok?
