Dragon Quest video game series creator Yuji Hori just let is slip that there are plans to for the 3DS re releases of Dragon Quest 7 and 8 to make it west.

I actually already have DQ8 for the PS2 but I'd love to have it on the go

That reminds me, there is a bonus dungeon and bonus boss in the Dragon Quest 8 remake.

YES!

 

I'm very fond of Dragon Quest.  I've played through IV, V, VI, and IX (and at least played I - III), but I've never had the chance to play VII or VIII.  I will definitely buy both if and when they release stateside.

I own a Super Famicom cartridge copy of Dragon Quest VI.  I'd already played through VI on DS by the time I acquired it, so I tried bumbling through the game in Japanese (courtesy of my RetroDuo). xD  Got farther than expected.

Can't wait for these! It's been too long since I played a Dragon Quest game, At least since IX was released. And I love playing RPG's on the go. ^_^

I am so excited for this :wub:  DQ8 is one of my favorite RPGs, and I can't wait for it. Never played DQ7, though.

More details have come out about the Dragon Quest VIII remake, it is going to have bonus content, an alternate ending, a new camera mode and a bonus dungeon/boss.
