Am I just getting ignored? I'm very sorry if I'm coming off as rude, But its been a while since I submitted my character and I still haven't got a verification on whether I'm in or not.

Due to the rules we have set in place and how many sub-gms seem to actually vote we have met a rather hard hurdle when voting, this has affected the RP aswell which has slowed it down as i dont want to make a math teacher if Trotten's is not declined. But as i said this is very hard when the others doesnt vote and one of us who does alot is gone. And lastly... I'm sorry if it bothers you that it takes such a long time

I was just making a math teacher due to lack of one. Would it just be easier to skip the class for now?

I can confirm that it should be skipped. As we dont need an unison in this because there is no teacher or a way (aslong as they dont vote) to fix this. Otherwise i'll find a reason in RP that will excuse as to why the class is cancelled. That is up to you the people here to decide if i do however, i wouldn't wanna RP something bad. (Still need more people voting though!)

I take it we still don't have anypony to fill in the role of math teacher? If so, for the sake of moving the RP along, can we just have the principal stop by and say that the math teacher is absent and that the rest of the class is a study hall?

Not sure if answered yet, but first you would come up with a character using the guidelines in the OP. You'd then post it here and wait for GM approval. You'd also have to clarify if your a student or a teacher.

Well then... I see it fit to take the RP in my own reins once in awhile and one of those times is now. I will make a reason why the Math class hasn't started and why it is canceled in RP with a logical but still open to discussion once a math teacher gets accepted. I'll also take full responsibility of the actions i will do. I hope you understand that it is for the current best. (i know i told i would several times before but this time i will)

Yes, sorry for not responding sooner. You are more than welcome to join. However be patient as it takes a very long time for some people to vote but i wont point any fingers. I'm also to blame for not voting on certain things.

I'm sorry due to certain time limits i will put a strike on your character and vote all undecided votes as a no. Therefore your principal character was not accepted in this position. You can try for the position of Vice-principal if you so wish. The math teacher is still undecided however and i will say that i will personally take it down aswell in two days on the 20th for me. This isn't in my might alone however but i'm sure many agree that it is annoying to be waiting for a month.

 

Lastly in this order of things we need to adress i will personally vote a yes in public to trotten's math teacher achieving it one yes vote currently as i dont believe anyone else have noticed it yet. This way i hope it will be noticed more by the other DMs. 

 

P.S. Dont take my actions wrong here. I'm doing this for the better of the RP as no one likes when a RP they liked to be in ended or when the RP they DM for in my case ends due to people not being able to engage. As i said i take full responsibility for anything that is done due to this rather rash method. (Also... DONT DIE ON ME!   sorry...)

The problem is the organization of this role play. You have a entire GM committee that is basically useless due to the fact that there isn't that many players. The GM to Player ratio is completely off. The idea of a democracy is nice and all, but this isn't a government, it's a role play. You should have a main GM who goes through with ideas and if anyone opposes you, then you reconsider it. Voting takes forever and just drags the RP down.

 

Also, the schedule idea was good, but you should of made it AFTER you already knew who was in the RP so things were more efficient. Instead of going class to class, some of which don't have a teacher and require improvising with NPC's, you should timeskip classes that don't have a teacher. I know I would hesitate to post because I'd be completely confused. Who would make the NPC? What would the NPC do? Would everybody agree to what the NPC was doing? It's too much effort... Just skip.

 

Lunch is going to have the same problem. People are going to hesitate because they don't know what to do. Who do I sit with? Do I go to my locker first? Is there a lunch line? There has to be a supervisor in charge of the lunchroom, like a class, and it can absolutely be a teacher who already has a class.

 

I'm just giving suggestions, it's your choice if you take them.

Well... I did say to skip it twice. But people was like ''Where is the teacher'' and i had to resort to this instead of making a timeskip since i didnt have an efficent way of thinking right before i had to go to bed.

 

Well... Your suggestion is good and its true that the execution of certain stuff is bad but you have to agree that i and other people can't work good when we're tired. For the second thing i'm sure we all agree it should be supervised. But it doesn't have to be a teacher you know.

 

(I'm still tired. I just woke up so if we will have an arguement... Please leave it to the PM...)

I think the issue we're having with no math & health ed OCs is that people don't know that much or find much interest in those subjects. Think about it? How is someone who uses primarily arithmetic in day to day life (and I bet that's most of you), going to effectively roleplay a character that is required to know Calculus for their position?

 

Same with health. Not every player on here is gonna have much beyond a basic HS education to work with, and that's if you took the class recently. Pretty sure most of us aren't doctors, nurses or morticians either. And let's face it: classes are boring. Teaching is boring.  How do you make a math or health class entertaining, when you don't really have the knowledge of those subjects? 

 

That is the issue we face. 

 

That's not to say I'm not gonna try though. I have a few ideas for OCs to fill those positions, although it's a bit more challenging to create characters for such roles. I don't' create characters for specific roles. I take characters I already have and see how they would act in said roles. 

 

Ideas would help, as I've only got general concepts right now.
