What do you hold most dear to your heart?

So I haven't posted a forum in ages so I thought this is a good way to pick it up

Now I'm expecting all this about family and friends... don't do that!

I wanna see if you have an object that hold so much love and sentiment to you that you could never possibly consieve of letting it go because you would loose a bit off yourself with it.

Don't be afraid if it's odd strange or a little deep .. I want to know

For example I have a picture of my mother and father (who I've never met) from just before I came along and it's old and tattered and bent but I couldn't throw it out because that's all I have of where I come from if that makes sense

So fire away ... :)

My guitars. Basically, as far as I can tell, my guitar ability is the main thing that makes me feel like I'm worth a damn. Now I have so many guitars, many of which I have love split between so losing one or two wouldn't be that tragic but if I found myself with none then I might as well be dead.

I'm not a medical expert, psychologist, psychiatrist, teacher or love doctor. Take my words with a pinch of salt, yeah?

I am an experienced cook, musician and care worker though, so that's something.

hmm. I'd have to say my grandfathers binoculars. Grandfather started a troop and my dad was in it obviously. He gave my dad a pair of binoculars they used when they went camping. Now I'm here and a boy scout so he gave them to me and gave me the story of how they came to be. If i manage to keep them in good shape, you can guess who they go to next.

A tricky question... I've always been a hoarder, so I'd hate to lose anything, but I suppose the one thing I'd hate to lose most of all would be

Nope, I got nothing there. Sorry.

My chameleon friends. I love them all so much but one is the closest to me. I'm totally not telling you his name. Any of their names. They're in the Witness Protection Program. At least one of them is... because SOMEONE "accidentally" burnt his face with a cigarette ash...

don't worry, they're inanimate objects.

Well that's what they want you to think, they're pretty damn talkative for fakies.

I freaking love chameleons.

A song that my ex wrote for me...

She's the only person I've ever loved and, a week later, I'm still hurt about the break up (we left on good terms though)

Even though I've had some of my friends say keeping the song she wrote might trigger memories and upset me, I've decided not to let go of it. Even if I were to never read it again, simply knowing that someone cared that deeply about me is something I don't ever want to forget.

My bassoon, tenor saxophone, and oboe... Probably pretty obvious!

There's multiple levels to their importance to me. Over the course of about a decade ago they became my top three instruments and someday I hoped so much to be able to have and play them.

The bassoon was bought for me by my grandparents... Solely because I wanted so much to play it. They're very expensive, it was a very big gift for them to give me... But I don't want to make it about price, it was so much more than that, because without them getting me it I would have been in trouble as my parents and I could not even possibly afford one.

I honestly do not know where I'd even be if they hadn't done that for me, because I don't know if I would have held on with the instruments I played before.

The tenor saxophone was bought for me by my grandma... So I'd have an instrument to march. It did not turn out going that way, but I still love it!

Both of my grandparents have passed away now. But the massive amount of support they gave me in this will live on.

Um... Anyway, I'm going to stop there because I have already cried hysterically about this once before in the last 24 hours. lol

The oboe I bought for myself, but it goes without saying, as it was right up there with the bassoon and saxophone from the very beginning for me... And right now it's kind of a lifeline for me. I'm officially learning it now, and can tell it's going to be amazing for me. (with the side note that it is a double reeded instrument, thus it will also make me want to jump out the window xD)

With that said, ALL of my instruments have great value to me and I would never want to get rid of any of them.

Hope. For what, im not too sure. But its there. I can feel it, doing its thing. Im just waiting to see what I'm hoping for. Though, i do have an idea of what it could be.

And if ye mean an object, then its three things. My plushies(Lulu 'n Twily), my homemade Question Mark carving and my computer. Plushies, because i love them. They're so cute 'n cuddly. Second, because im proud of it. And the last one, because it hosts so much information and stuff i dont want to lose.

This might sound weird but.....my drumkit...I've had it for at least 5 years now, my drumkit is the only thing that reminds me that I'm really good at something, and that it's the one thing that makes me stand out from other people, since my main fear is being the same as everyone else...you know? like being that everyday average person, I've always wanted to be unique in some way. It's also because over the 5 years I've had with my drumkit, we always seem to make it through the hardest things like...if one of my drums gets punctured, or if one of my cymbals crack, I'll always be there to tape it up or glue it together so I can continue my absolute love for drumming...you know what I mean?

Am object I would never throw away? Tough question, most of my possestions are cheap and not worth much. But the one thing I would hold onto would be the family photo album I have that entails pictures of me and my mother and father before their divorce. The feels mang :/

Something(s) that hold lots of meaning and memories would hafta be things from my dads job, and things that he always carried with him before he passed away. Thompson Electric: Flashlight, Hat, Jacket... / His pocket knives, glasses, belts, watches... and of course pictures of us while I was growing up. :(:kindness:
