gaming FNAF World......What's your opinion?

For me, personally, FNAF has had it's run, and I don't think I'd fit in with the RPG setting. RPGs are one of those genres that has been done so many times that only a few games shine through, and that's because they did something different than the rest.

Earthbound and Mother are beloved because of how weird and funny they are, OFF became famous because of it's atmosphere and plot, Undertale is currently blowing up the internet because of how well it destroys RPG and video game tropes, Final Fantasy was one of the first, and Pokemon was also one of the first and had a new monster catching system.

FNAF World seems... run of the mill. God knows the fans are going to eat it up anyway, but I don't see FNAF World bringing anything new to the table other than an RPG with FNAF characters.

I'm confused, that's all. I mean, FNAF's atmosphere is supposed to be so dark and sad, but then, here comes FNAF world? I don't know... it looks pretty good, though, so I would say: wait and see :)

I wish Scott Cawthon would move on from FNAF and create a new franchise.

To our understanding he is working on a new horror franchise, but chances are he won't get attention for that. Just like all the FNAF fan-content creators are only getting views on FNAF things, because the fans are slaves to the content, not it's creator. I personally enjoy the franchise because of the various content creators it has introduced me to, like MandoPony, and ChaoticCanineCulture.

To avoid double posting here, I'm also going to add my two-cents on FNaF World and say that it looks pretty nice to me. Mainly because of how adorable some of the subtler details are, like Withered Chica's idle animation.

Well, I'll keep an open mind and wait to see how it turns out. Something tells me Scott might be trying to make this game a bit more devious than it actually is. Like, maybe it'll start cute and then take a dark turn. I can imagine him doing something like that. Although, if that isn't the case, I trust that Scott will still make it an enjoyable game :squee:

It kind of reminds me of his first game with the beaver lumberjacks. It's a bit of a weird move, but I suppose fans will eat it up. There are already a fair number of FNAF fangames made with RPG maker. It adds extra competition for Scott though, hopefully he can put together the elements to make a good RPG. It's not as easy as it sounds, it's really easy to mess up the balance or make combat not fun.

I am expecting a giygas moment though. There is no way that Scott or really anyone couldn't be tempted to go really creepy towards the end and catch players off guard, especially with a franchise like this.

It looks cute, but I'd rather a franchise stick with what their main genre was, horror. Does it look interesting? No. Will I play it, probably not.
