Favorite villain/antagonist so far?

Queen Chrysalis! 

She was the only villain who managed to send chills down the spine. Discord was good but they ruined his awesome characteristics.  

Sombra was extremely poorly written and Nightmare Moon was way to cliche.

I like Trixie, but the stakes werent very high with her antics. So ill go with Discord. Though you could argue that he isnt trying to harm anyone, just cause lots of chaos

I probably wouldn't think anybody would argue with that, because Discord destroyed everybody's home. I think that is pretty bad; forcing ponies to completely leave Equestria

Look at intent though. A tornado also destroys peoples' homes, but calling a tornado an antagonist would be silly. Discord is a force of nature, he exists only to create chaos as an end, not to use chaos for good or evil. In D&D terms, hes "chaotic neutral"

Actually, lots of antagonists or non-living things, and can be from tornadoes, all the way to a boulder that won't move. An antagonist by definition is something/someone/somepony that is against the protagonist. So, Discord is against the protagonist, and all of Equestria.

 

And we are referring to Discord, the living..thing... He does cause Discord, but since he chose to go against the protagonist, he is the antagonist.

No, i refuse to have these ridiculous semantic arguments. Antagonist is clearly being used as "villain", OP even defined it himself as someone deliberately doing something to harm others, so argue over the substance of what i said if you're going to argue, not semantic technicalities

And by antagonist I do mean somepony who was deliberately doing things that brought harm to others, so the dragons in "Dragonshy" and "Owls Well That Ends Well" don't count.  Neither do the Parasprites, because they're just dumb animals.

 

Queen Chrysalis is my favorite.  No contest.

Yeah, Discord is my favorite villain without a doubt. He's just awesome. For my favorite lesser villain, I chose Trixie, because she has the most personality.

It's Discord. His fun loving attitude combine with the fact he always seems in control makes him a very enjoyable villan.

The one behind it all.... DISCORD!  Discord is definitely the best villain in the show even if he didn't really pay much attention to keeping the Elements of Harmony away from the Mane 6 but, he is still a great villain.

At the time of writing my average poem, I completly forgot about another somepony, Chrysalis.

She comes at close second position.

 

It's sad that the episode with Sombra was rushed, he could have been a great vilain. I really hope he comes back.

He was the villain I was most disappointed in.  We are given this interesting back story and it is obvious that his power was incredible, but he wasn't used properly in that episode. He just ended up being some angry shadow.

 

I would love him to be a constant villain; like Dark Heart or No Heart from Carebears.

Totally not my own lyrics. Sadly, I cannot rhyme to save my life. Or do poetry of any kind for that matter. ANYWAY, as you can see my favorite is Discord. Obviously.

 

Discord is best pony, dragon, lizard, lion, eagle, goat, bat, pegasi, ram, and deer. BOOM.

I think people don't give Sombra  enough credit. Sure he was kind of rushed and wasn't executed as good as he could've. Sombra  definitely was the most bloodthirsty of all the villains so far and  I'm pretty sure he would've wasted no time removing the mane 6 from existence had he reached them before the Crystal Heart Blast did him in.

 

To put it short; Sombra gets bonus points for being the only MLP villain so far to at least try and settle things then and there where all the other villains...(Even Discord) toyed with the Mane 6 and eventually lead to each of their own downfalls.

 

Don't get me wrong though; Of course I love Discord. I just think Sombra  in underappreciated.

Probs gonna anger somepony because I don't like any of the villains much.

 

Discord-I don't see what's his appeal.

Nightmare Moon-I didn't get how Luna magically grew and became more powerful just because she was ungrateful.

Sombre-Didn't see him enough.

Chrysalis-The Teeth!!!!!
