how is cadence related to celestia/ luna

Just wondering, how is cadence related. its says shes celestia's neice, does that mean she's luna's daughter, or is there more royal family out there. if it is luna's daughter then she must be over 1000 years old and shouldn't be married to shining armour

There's definitely more family out there. Celestia and Luna are sisters. There are still some gaps to fill. Perhaps Season 6 and the movie might take care of that.

Blueblood, though, is - going by Word of Faust - apparently actually their great-great-great-great-great (about 51 greats total) nephew, descended from their maternal first cousin rather than from a third sibling.

I'm pretty sure she's not related to them at all actually. I remember hearing that Prince Blueblood is the only known relative of Celestia besides Luna. Also iirc Celestia and Luna are the only pureblood Alicorns.

cadence is not related to Celestia and Luna and cadence was originally a pegasus. If you read My Little Pony: Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell ​which is a book from Hasbro it explains all of it.

We did, she's adopted. Unlike Blueblood, who is legitly of the royal bloodline (a great-great-great-great-great-great nephew with about 51 greats total).
