Pony Ranks

I've read somewhere that a change is coming to the, post ranks, this is along those lines I think that it would be a good idea to change the pony and above ranks to another names, such a philly, mare, colt, elder (you know ages) or somthing like that so that veteran users could pick her pony image.

 

for e.g I love pegasus as a race and when I attain that title (in a long time from now) I want that title but eventually I'll gain the Unicorn title somthing I dont want. just a suggestion when the changes are looked at.

Well I wouldn't want to have an "elder" badge really.. And I don't think it's possible to let users keep a certain badge from what I've heard.

The forum software code does not allow for members to pick or keep their badges. The post count system is based on just that ... post count. IPB (the software we use) uses pips or blocks by default which can be replaced by an image instead. User groups can also be granted a badge overriding post count (this is how staff badges are handled), but that is something that is not automated.

No worries. And keep the suggestions coming. I'll be compiling an updated list of member and staff requests for implementation. While some suggestions won't be done, some may be in some form or another.
