Will there ever be a national My Little Pony day?

why all the people in the world? Do you not know the meaning of "national"?

As in, only a day of acknowledgement to something specific to just a nation of people....as in, just a country...

Here you asked the person you responded to that question and said that you would want to day to be national or to just a country.

I'm not getting huffy. Dougnuts exists in other countries outside the U.S. Wine exists outside the U.S. Star Wars eists outside the U.S. but to my knowledge, it's the U.S who goes above and beyond for dedicating a day of acknowledgement to every little thing. Crounuts, dogs, what have you. Naturally, with it all being labeled at "national" something or another day, it would be a day of acknowledgement strictly within that particular nation.

I just don't understand what you are askin' for, you say you want a day of acknowledgment, but it doesn't have to be a holiday, you use the examples of, Wine, Star Wars and the others not having their own holidays but acknowledgment days. You say like I said above that you want it to be specific to a country or a nation, so I asked you what nation would that be considering Bronies are extremely spread out, who would decide which country that is and why?

I mean, comon it would be easier for the fandom, or Hasbro to turn around and say, for example ''28th Feburary every year is MLP:FIM appreciation day'', wouldn't be a holiday, and would only be within the community and people can celebrate it how they want?  :dash: Though it is probably likely that they wont, since Bronies celebrate being Bronies in their every day life usually and the plenty of Cons.

I, hereby, in an officially unofficial capacity, by the power invested in me (which is none to speak of), and, dubiously, by the Power of Grayskull, declare today to be National My Little Pony Day.

You're welcome.

No. Why would that happen when the amount of people who like ponies in the United States isn't even 1% of the Northeast population alone? Sonic has a better chance, and it doesn't have a national holiday. Let's not take pones too seriously - there's no way it's getting a holiday. It's a show, afterall

If it's a My Little Pony day, it should be on April 14 and not October 10th. October 10th is when G4 was first aired, but we wouldn't have g4 is g1, g1.5, g3, and (yes, unfortunately) g3.5 didn't air. Also, I'm not sure if it should be recognized as a national day, but maybe one within the fandom. We wouldn't have a day off to binge watch My Little Pony, but there's no reason we still can't observe it.

If it's Friendship is Magic day, then October 10th.

Wouldn't a national holiday require it to have something to do with the culture or history of the nation otherwise it wouldn't really get far so far to be a national holiday.

national holidays, yes

National gimmick days, no

National wear red day, thank a postman day, doughnut day, drink wine day, etc. Have nothing to do with the nation's a tual culture and history. They're just fun gimmic days for people to get into.

What would this day actually be about?

I mean, a holiday must have some kind of meaning behind it and having some traditions, like we hide our eggs during easter, or make presents for our special valentines on valentines day.

May the 4th is Star Wars day, so I guess because the fan base is so big, that's why there's a day of the year when you celebrate the best Sci-Fi movie franchise of all time. Maybe sometime in the future, considering that the brony fan base is still growing rapidly, everyone will celebrate it on October 10 every year, since that's when generation 4 started.  :)

Id say a day to celebrate within the fandom since MLP isn't THAT big anyway

kind of like how 4/13 and 6/12 being important days in the fandom for Homestuck.

I highly doubt it. As great as MLP is, if they made a day for it, they might as well make days for every show with a large fanbase, so basically make a Doctor Who day, Steven Universe day, Gravity Falls day, etc, so there probably won't be.

we don't need to c elebrate g4, but the mlp franchise in its entirety. Hence, MLP day, not FiM day

While I agree there's a ton of useless holidays, I really don't think there'd ever be a MLP day. It's really just a TV show, not nearly as big as several others shows out there, not to mention the backlash Hasbro would face if they were to suggest something like it. I'd consider it extremely pretentious if they did, anyway.
