I used to shop at my local Goodwill store before the pandemic. The last time I went there was a couple years ago after things settled down. I'd like to go back at some point, though money has been tight for me lately. I have a $20 gift card that I haven't had a chance to use and would like to use it the next time I go there.

I do sometimes, not as often I used to tho. Used to be you could find some good stuff there but I think our local Goodwill lists most of their good items online now, even a lot of the good clothes seem to be put on Goodwill Auctions instead of in store.

I don't regularly shop at a Goodwill store, but i know where one is near me in my state (US) and I've gotten some nice stuff there, including some nice dresses, a pretty Christmas doll, a clock, a painting someone did, and a few other things. It's amazing what people will get rid of. I once saw a dress that still had its original price tag on it (I didn't get it cuz it was too small for me) and it was originally over $200.00 (USD). The goodwill price had it marked at around $10.00.

I occasionally shop at second hand stores; though not nearly enough. Probably explains my love/hate relationship with them.

Many have told me that you find the good stuff when you're not looking for it. For me, I fail to find stuff when I am looking AND when I'm not. :sealed: My problem is, I barely go to places like Goodwill enough to be surprised. It's easier for me to get frustrated, give up, and just find a new version of what I want for full price.

Thanks to the thrifting and reselling trend off TikTok, Goodwill has shot up in prices. So no. The last time I went to Goodwill I saw clothes in acceptable clearly used condition costing as much as it would be brand new. Sometimes I even found the same article of clothing brand new online going for less than what Goodwill wanted it for in acceptable condition. That being said I do still thrift just from other resources. Goodwill isn’t what it used to be but there are other resources to get affordable clothing in decent shape.
