Toyline ponies who are no shows in the show

Do you guys feel any particular way about these ponies who are exclusive to the toyline? Have you gotten attatched to one or some, in the way you'd get attatched to a pony in the actual series?

 

In my own case, I'm so in love with a little blank flank filly named Star Dreams, who's toyline exclusive, and has been released 3 times-twice with some of the mane 6, and once with the CMC, so I've been curious as to her importance, since she's been released with the mane 6 and CMC. Not to mention, she's as cute as a button! I'm miffed that there isn't more merch of her, and I eagerly await the day when she'll graduate to at least being a background chara in FiM. I've given her a fanthread in the forums, and throw countless hours into writing fics about her. To me, she's more than just a toyline exclusive pony.

 

Does anyone feel the same about any specific toyline exclusive pony?

I'm attached to Minty, who I bough a Playskool figurine alongside Moondancer (she looks pre- Amending Fences though). The reason for it it's because she's the sister of one of my favorite OCs and second child of Rarity in one of my favorite fics

I'm going to have to look a little closer at the toyline ponies, I usually glaze over them as Mane 6 knockoffs. Maybe one will catch my eye!

Minty isn't a toyline exclusive pony, unless you're just looking at generation 4. In that case, then even then, she's made comic debuts

Well, yes, she was one of the main characters in G3 if I'm not mistaken, and of course the comics would put some of toyline exclusives, but she hasn't showed up in the show yet

what I'm saying is if she shows anywhere other than the toyline, then that negates her being "toyline exclusive". It doesn't have to be the show, but comics, chapter books, Equestria Girls- anywhere other than the toyline.

In that case however, practically no horses are toyline exclusive

that's far From true. There are lists of toyline /show/and comic ponies, and while many are in the show and comcs, there are numerous ponies who are toyline exclusive -in the entire franchise

Oh well, if you ask for the entire franchise....... man, too many names, colors and butt symbols to keep up, specially if they like using ponyfications of other works

I like both. MLP has always had a diverse roster of characters in and out of the show. They also have some very creative designs and colors.

I have mixed feelings about the toyline exclusive characters... Some of them look like bad OCs with random colour palettes, weird cutie marks and overused hairstyles. But then again, I'm curious about the two alicorn princesses - Sterling and Gold Lily. What land do they rule or what virtues do they represent? What's their connection to Celly and Luna?
