What do you want to do?

I was just thinking, I know what I am going to do after schooling, after College, and I guess I am a strange person, but I am curious what other people want to do after school and why. Personally I want to get involved with groups like A21 or IJM, as I am a law student with a passion for what they are doing. I know some of you are to young to want to think about this, but it is an important topic to think about. Sorry if this is strange, just curious :3

You got me there. I'm out of school and I STILL don't know what I want to do. :P I'm thinking something with art but at the same time I don't know if that's the right path for me since TOO much drawing will get me burnt out on it fast. Hm...I went to Cosmetology school but let my license go and never renewed it so now I'd need to take a refresher class. More money...bleh. I was thinking of getting into Phlebotomy. (Those people that draw your blood) Seems like something I wouldn't mind doing as a career.

I'm currently in High school, year 10. When i finish 6th form and college (maybe university) i think i'll go and take a course in nursing. When that's finished, i'll get a job as a male nurse and right my novels. If they get published and become famous, i may leave the medical profession and get a job in the media, where i will live out my life.

I haven't thought this through...

Well the college program I am going into is a general coarse that leads into about 7 different classes give or take so I will know WHAT I want to do in the long run after my 1 year program. I just want to be in media, webside design, photography, that kinda stuff.

Finish High School in five weeks, take a year off to get lots of work experience, take some community college courses to get my feet wet so to speak, and then locate a place to buckle down. Creative Writing and Psychology are two interests of mine~

Plan A: I'm currently in school to become a CFA (chartered financial analysis)

Plan B: Be a housewife ;D

~

Either way, you win, 'mirite? :)

I have my careers narrowed down to either a video game designer (I have soooooo many great ideas that would make millions of dollars if they were actually made) or a theoretical and/or astrophysicist (because it's just so damn interesting). I will settle for nothing less.

I Guess you would call what I'm in high school, next year I'm starting a High school/College -like education, focusing on Music English and Danish. This also involves Social study some of the three years, which I'm pretty sure I'm gonna extend, since you can do that. After that I have no clue, but I won't waste my time! I will educate myself until I know what I want to do.

What I want to do? That's a tough one. I've taken two years at a nearby community college while living with my parents and obtained a transfer degree, with a focus in science, to a four year university, but when it came down to it, I didn't feel like I truly had the commitment to take out loans and finish up the last two years. All of my life, though, I've had an interest in the sciences - just the idea of learning, and knowing what everything is, interests me - but the thought of graduating and spending hours performing boring, mind numbingly repetitive tests as a lab tech just doesn't sound appealing.

I want to be a (bio)chemist of some kind, but not as a lab technician. :)

After I graduate from college I want to work for a newspaper. My writing style mimics that of Hunter S. Thompson, and ever since I was a kid he has been my idol. I think it would be both fun and interesting to work for a newspaper and write Gonzo journalism. I've also been working on writing two books, so perhaps if I get lucky I can get them published. Since I'm a creative writing major though I'm mostly just hoping I can find a job in general where I can supplement from my skills. (since the job market is so tough right now anyways, and being a liberal arts major won't make it any easier to find a job.)

I keep telling myself I want to be a forensic chemist

But chemistry courses are incredibly difficult, and I doubt I can be a good chemist.

I may consider switching majors, though my mom might be really angry about it.

Quick tip, I have learned that if you take bit off from schooling to get into a carreer, the most likely outcome is not going back to education. I have several friends who intended to go back to school after taking a break to go work, and never went back. Just something to think about.

Switching majors is very common, just do what you love to do, you will regret it otherwise :)

Meanwhile rushing into college isn't a perfect plan either =3 Everything has pros and cons. Just as Celestia likes to be orderly, I like to turn things into one big cesspool. I hear what you're saying but I considered it a long time ago and I'm not worried.

Gonna go to college. Not sure what I'll major in. Something related to graphic design, I know that. Trying to get accepted into a career institute for interactive media. I wanna work with cartoons and stuff. Maybe character concepts :)

I have no solid objective but what I'd like to do once I get out of high school and do college is either something having to do with digital art stuff or (this one's a longshot) be a music producer.

It's ironic how I fall just to get back up again...

Hopefully something that involves programing, but video game level design also appeals to me. That's what i'm thinking about at the moment anyway, still not completely decided. I've got a few more years to think though :)
