Funko not done with My Little Pony....yet

They're going to release some exclusives at Walmart of all stores

 

 

 

The official Funko Instragram has posted up a series of glow in the dark My Little Pony Funko Pop figures. From the tags on each, it looks like they are walmart exclusives. Keep an eye out for them if you plan to visit a store. All they said about release date is "Coming Soon"

Now, I am actually glad we're seeing more Funko Ponies coming out.  But Wal-Mart?  Wal-Mart of all stores?  I can't stand Wal-Mart.

Oooh, awesome! :3 I was saddened by the original news that Funko was apparently getting out of MLP altogether, but this gives me hope. Walmart is a store that I know some people hate, but I am fine with it. There are many, many Walmarts around here, whereas there is only one Hot Topic and it doesn't even sell MLP stuff anymore, so this will make it easy to get. Plus, glow in the dark?! That is cool! I am really enthusiastic about this.

It's really good news that there will still be ponies! It's a shame that there are no Wal-Marts around here in Finland though.   Oh well, maybe there's going to be some on sale on eBay. I really want a glow in the dark figure.

Would dearly love some more Pony vinyl Funko figures. I think it's annoying how much Funko seem to be just focusing on the whole Pop line (absolutely everything ever gets licensed for that!), but I suppose that's what rakes in the big bucks for them.

Wal-Mart exclusive only applies in countries that have Wal-Mart, but other countries may have outlets that are subsidiaries of Wal-Mart, for example, ASDA in the UK are owned by them, and may stock their exclusives.

Meh. I don't even like the funko pop figures.  

They all basically look the same anyways.

I wish it were the vinyl figures that were being continued.

Those are figures that I would actually want to own.

Glow in the dark Fluttershy would look great beside my Glow in the dark Zecora I have. Hope I can get one at some point. I've still yet to find the original Funko Pop Fluttershy figure....my EB Games had Sunbutt and Dashie at one point but that was it.

Yeah.  As a My Little Pony fan, I'm still waiting for a Tirek figure, ether by Funko or Hasbro.

I'm not really a fan of glow-in-the-dark ponies, glitter variants, or those black "mystery" ponies Funko makes. Can we just have ponies that look like ponies, please? The mold they used for their vinyl collectibles was one of the best ones out there, but then they had to get all crazy with these variants. The Pop figures don't appeal to me, either. I hope I'm in the minority and lots of people go out and buy these because I worry about unappealing merch not selling, thus making it look like the MLP brand is dying. I would buy those mystery boxes all day long if I knew there was a normal-looking, full-color pony inside each one.
