Well just totally wrecked a team on Nuketown 2025 for Double XP in Demolition. Went about 58-10, got about 3x Bloodthirsty medals.

Best game ever, thank god my teammates weren't retarded.

I went like 77-23 or something like that (I believe that was mah score). Problem was, it was Headquarters, and we just weren't able to get the headquarters at all. The enemies were just too determined. As a result, we lost completely. No headquarters points whatsoever. This was a case of total fail because the other team was just too determined. Mah team was trying hard to get it as well, but it was all in vain. Hey, at least I got some VSATs and 2 VTOLs.

I like the SMR. The wordplay potential (GET SMRT is my emblem), the one-shot-is-all-I-need mindset (on hardcore)...

Oh, and I like the anti-air rocket doodad. Only weapon I've prestiged thus far.

to tell the truth, I'm not a COD person, in fact the only one I ever liked was World at War, but Black Ops II is something else from all the others, I actually enjoy it. also because I'm a PC gamer, the other COD games dont have any video settings besides resolution, black ops II changes that with all the proper advanced graphics settings.

I think the other one was directly from Call of Duty Elite, which I just can't get to work no matter what I try.  I just can't get it to hook up to my Xbox, so I gave up.  But they did do a good job on that creator, they just need to put the FAL in there.

Well, boys, girls, and little kiddies on the PS3. The time has come. Revolution will be dropping for us guys tomorrow (Or today, for those guys in earlier time-zones), and I am sure as hell excited. It'll be nice to experience new maps, and a new weapon. Plus, more Zombies!

Yeah me too actually, since I dropshot alot. But when I am going for gold I usually try to aim for the head. It takes a while but not too long. It takes like one day to get gold on a gun.

Since BO2 had a free weekend on steam yesterday, I guess I can give my review.

 

The first black ops has been my favorite CoD game for the past 2 1/2 years. It wasn't an unbalanced clusterfuck like MW2, wasn't repetitive like WaW, and had an overall greater atmosphere compared to MW1 and 2.

I'll go more in to detail, the modern warfare series has a very bland and dusty atmosphere. World at War has more of a gritty, violent feel to it, and black ops feels like fifty shades of blue and a double rainbow to top it off. As for gameplay itself, the guns really felt like side-grades of each other. You'd find something that worked for you and stuck with it, or were forever doomed to use the famas because you really didn't feel like expanding beyond one of your first unlocks. I liked this more than unlocking better weapons as you go along, it was more balanced. but there was a major problem with this game: the hit detection.

The hit detection was atrocious, it was very difficult to hit a sprinting target. This, combined with the ballistic knife's speed and that one perk that made you sprint for a longer distance, made the ballistic knife overpowered. Anyone could grab the weapon and top the scoreboards with ease. This was a major problem for me and several other players, and Treyarch did nothing to fix it.

 

Now that black ops 2 allows you to equip the knife alone right off the bat, your first thoughts may be something along the lines of "OH GREAT, MORE OVERPOWERED STUFF THAT YOU START OUT WITH."

It's something the CoD series was doomed to. MP40+Juggernaut for WaW, UMP-45 for MW2, Famas for Black Ops, and I really haven't played much of MW3, so something for that too maybe. But no, it seems almost impossible to hit with a knife in BO2, and much easier to hit sprinting targets with guns. I'll set this aside for now.

First sight of create-a-class, the first thing I note is the wildcard slots. I figured that just gave users more perks, and that's essentially what it did. I was screwing around with the system for a bit and finally figured everything out. Treyarch managed to do something that made the game more balanced while adding more variety to the CaC system.

The 10-point system allows you to add 10 items to each class, and you had the option to remove certain things, such as perks and weapons. You're able to add additional perks or attachments at the cost of a grenade, or another perk, or another weapon, I think you get the idea. If I wanted to make a class with an AR and 3 attachments that improved its accuracy, I'd have to remove anything that wasn't necessary, because 5 points alone went in to my primary weapon. If I wanted to use perks, or lethals and tacticals, that would be an additional 3. I couldn't use both at the same time unless I left a perk/grenade out, and I wouldn't have a secondary to go with it. It kind of also gives you the option to remove unnecessary equipment. Basically, you can bend your class however you want at the cost of not having a normal class build like MW1-MW3 or WaW and BO1. The weapons themselves feel similar to Black Ops 1, in the sense that you had to find something that worked for you. (High accuracy, average everything, or very high damage with low accuracy and average fire rate, etc...)

Overall, I'd say the game is as balanced as CoD is going to get.

 

Now I'll get in to the atmosphere.

It kind of feels like Black Ops 1 had a baby with Modern Warfare 2. It's basically 50 shades of orange and no double-rainbow. It feels more saturated than MW2, but not as saturated as BO1. I don't really have much else to say about it.

 

Overall, I'll give the game a 8.5 out of 10.

Does anypony else feel that the fact that the crossbow shows up on radar is extremely stupid? I mean, you would think that the perks of having a crossbow while everyone runs arond with AR's and SMG's is that it's silent and stealthy. I think Treyarch was worried about it being OP, but it's already hard to hit someone with the slow, dropping bolt. They need to make the crossbow silenced in a future update.

I play Black Ops 2 on the xbox and just joined a brony clan yesterday so if anyone wants to message me with their gamertags that would be awesome. Black Ops 2 has several features that I could live without and a few features that didn't get included that should have been. I wish they would have kept the support killstreak feature in the game because I can get a lot of kills just not as a streak. Also I wish they would not have added the combat knife because now every other game I play has at least one person that uses extreme conditioning, light weight, combat axes, ballistic knife, combat knife, and dead silence.

So I just got back into this game recently and it's nice to have a game like this where I can run around shooting stuff. However is it just me or are SMG's way too powerful? I don't remember them being this good at release

 

I'm currently running around with the MK 48 which is an absolute ton of fun but almost everyone with the SMG + Laser Sight combo out-damages and out-ranges me. I know CoD isn't good for balance but it does seem really odd, maybe the maps just aren't made for LMG's

That is not necessarily true... If you see them and they are right on top of you it is game over for you not the guy with the knife

Well, now I feel conflicted. I JUST got back to level 55 and now the Peacekeeper, after one game, has already given a good enough impression that I want to prestige for a 5th time so I can get the 10th C-a-C slot for it. Problem is, I don't wanna prestige again . I'll test it out some more to judge whether I wanna prestige for it or not.

I still have yet to get the new maps and the Peacekeeper, but I've used it before just from picking it up off the ground, and I love it just from those few times I actually used it.  I'm going to be playing tomorrow on the Xbox, so if anyone wants to join in and just play some matches and goof around, send me a message and I'll invite you.  I'll be on starting at around 2:15 to 2:45 EST, depends on when I get home.  My Gamertag is in my signature.

Also, I found a really great setup for the MTAR! The perks depend on you and also equipment. I find that the MTAR with Target Finder + Stock is very effective actually. It outguns most guns even in CQC! (what I think)

 

Stock gives you that extra speed while aiming down sights with your Target Finder, which helps you identify targets and gives you a little "tunnel vision" which might seem annoying at first but it does aim down and lock on fairly well even in close range.

I HIGHLY recommend you guys trying this. I ditched my trusty MP7 and Vector for this thing. :3
