Well, it looks like they should be trying to include some stuff in the movie that will make for GOH style toys, since they've apparently got a GOH toyline planned for the movie too.

 

Kind of wondering if that means we'll get some battle armor and other stuff for the characters or super modes/transformations?

I am pretty sure that we will get some for the movie.

Basically I am expecting it to be more adventure and action oriented than the regular show, therefore it would make sense for the toys based on the movie to be like what you proposed.

Plus I wouldn't be surprised if the mane 6 got some new kind of form like Rainbow Power in order to defeat the main villain of the film, and I would expect toys to be made out of that.

I’m still very skeptical about the potential of this whole action-oriented GoH idea since FIM has a history of using such stuff for nothing more than uninspired toy commercials which can’t generate interest outside fandoms. On the other appendage, this whole thing feeds into my narrative, so it’s K.

 

Tying GoH to a movie that has real storytellers working on it is a smart move, and the smart money is indeed on transformations and armor-like accessories. I guess a good one could transmute such plastic crap to gold.

I think the movie will lead into a GOH series that will be more TV-Y7-FV then TV-Y.

Where was my Arctic Batman? How come I did not see him fighting Christopher Walken and the Danny DeVito? Stupid toy companies creating toys that don't match the movies ... for decades. 

 

 

I expect some cool models, but I am not expecting a 1:1 appearance between the toys and what we see on screen.

well, it means we might have some more focus on accessories and gear/outfits for the movie though, which might be important. (kind of like the EOH were macguffins in previous seasons)

Well, if the movie will have more action, makes senss they'll make a tie-in with GoH. I think GoH will be more independent, but this is a tie-in that screams: TWO PROMOS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE

Yeah, their in-show hairdo peeved me. They looked better in the promos, keeping the same length, but with the new colors, or at least if they didn't looked so exaggerated

Yeah, Rainbow Power had Cadance, Cheerilee and some background poneh with Rainbow Power, but obviously didn't made it in the show . Still, I believe that at least the Mane6 will have their GoH gear in the movie

We could possibly get a show out of this, but I don't really see it happening at the moment.

I would rather see an EQG spin off tv series, but this could be good as well.

I don't think so myself, not unless GOH suddenly explodes in sales.

Hasbro looked rather surprised by just how well received the GOH toys were at the toyfair, so it doesn't look like they were initially thinking it was something they'd put alot of thought into for promotions (Like the Trademark was altered to include the animated entertainment tag a day or something after they unvailed the toys at the toyfair)
