technology Is this size-comparison accurate?

I mean... i know the m6g is big and all but can this size-comparison between it and a m1911 be trusted?

If you go by the dimensions given on the Halo Wiki: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/M6G_Personal_Defense_Weapon_Systemand compare them to the dimensions of the M1911: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1911_pistol, then no, the M6G in the image is actually too *short* (front-to-back) by a little bit. 

 

However, the grip seems a lot longer in this model than compared to the game images. The guard has an extra bump on it that the game image doesn't seem to have, and there's an extension on the bottom of the grip that isn't in the game image.

Actually, it looks like this was based on the Halo: Combat Evolved model, which had the different trigger guard and an extended magazine. Pretty much spot on if you go by that. Size is about right too, standard 1911 is 21cm long, Magnum is supposedly 26.7cm.
