Who's Your Favourite Mane 6 Character And Non-Pony Character In The Show?

This is just a little thread I made for the heck of it, and I'm interested in people's opinions. Who's your favourite Mane 6 member and why? I originally always found Rainbow Dash as mine, but nowadays I can't decide between her and Fluttershy. Also, while they aren't the main focus, FIM has a lot of cool non-pony animals in the series, from dragons to bunnies, that I think need a lot more respect than they get. So who's your fav of those too?

 

(Oh, not really related, but I thought of another question on the spot while I was writing. What's your favourite Element Of Harmony? Yeah, It's cheesy to think about, but why not?)

I definitely like Fluttershy of the Mane 6. As for my fav non-pony character, I have two and they're Discord and Queen Chrysalis (because I can't decide between them).

You can probably guess my favorite mane 6 character based on my avatar  :wub:. She's been my favorite since the beginning of the series, and I always get super hyped and excited when she's featured in an episode!

 

As far as non-pony characters go, Spike has slowly climbed up the list over the years. Especially in season 6 when he plays the support role to Twilight and Starlight. He really shines in that aspect  :mustache:.

My favorite of the mane 6 would have to be have to be Fluttershy.

At first I was drawn in by her cuteness, but later on I grew to really enjoy her personality the most out of all of the mane 6 and being able to relate to her, and I really enjoy seeing her growth and being able to be better at handling her social anxiety.

For the non ponies in the show, I would say Spike would be my favorite.

I can also really relate to his personality.

Plus he has really good interactions with Twilight.

I find Zecora and Twilight and Rarity a lot like me...:3

I really like Twilight, because I can relate to her, and she's always been rather interesting. Furthermore, she's got some good character development and her personality is stronger as the series goes on, in a way. Rarity is my second favorite, and she is fashionable and social, which I could never be. Despite that, I can relate to her for being perfectionist and tying to finish stuff before deadlines. Which I always fail at, xD. Pinkie is one of my favorites, her cheerful personality can brighten up my day, and shes quite funny. Plus Cupcakes and the Smile HD... :/

 

Favorite non pony character? I can't say.

Favorite Mane 6: Rarity. She's the most like me and I can relate to her on many levels.  

 

Favorite Non-Pony: Just off the top of my head I'll say Angel. You just can't go wrong with a temperamental bunny!

 

Favorite Element of Harmony: Generosity. It's associated with Rarity and that's good enough for me! Honesty ain't bad though as a runner-up.

Best Mane 6 is FASHION HORSE, the character who shatters most aspects of her own archetype, she of the amazing voice acting, of the almost consistently good episodes. Of ambition and maturity! 

 

Non Pony, I guess Discord or Spike, who really cares.

 

Im kinda amazed at all the people praising Fluttershy here, she's honestly kind of a near complete waste of a character most of the time, between S2 and S6 I literally can't think of a single episode where I felt she really had a meaningful story. Like I don't care if your freaking shy and can relate to that, you have to realize, she's a character seemingly no one has an idea what the hell to do with. Seriously between Hurricane Fluttershy and Flutter Brutter when did she really do ANYTHING new?


I flat out don't get why people are so obsessed with their favorites being like them ether, it has no effect whatsoever on me.

Favorite Mane 6? You know, that's actually a hard question. I regularly switch between Rainbow Dash, Twilight, and Applejack. I think I tend to lean towards Rainbow Dash.

When it comes to non-pony characters, I like Discord a lot. I also like Gilda. She's kind of an a**hole, but she's got a sweet side even if it rarely shows.

I usually don't do replies on this topic since It's just for opinions and all, but your answer in particular intrigues me. I mean, a character doesn't HAVE to have a meaningful story to get people's attention. Sure it helps, but It's not exactly a requirement. Heck, I'm sure some people just like certain ponies for their looks and don't care for their character. Also, while it might not have an effect on you, I find that when a character is like person watching the bond between the viewer and the character is strengthened and you start caring about what happens to them, even if it is just a TV show. Sorry, it just sounds like rambling now I guess, but I just wanted to throw my two bits in there.

Favorite character is obviously Rarity; there's way too many reasons as to why for me to list...and my favorite non-pony would be the Smooze. I love him so much 

 

also fun fact; I cosplayed as both characters this year at bronycon :)
